Epilogue to Volume 1

Days passed, months passed, and it was more than a year since we started academy.

Naruto continued to train, and I continued to make money and connections.

Not being able to use chakra was now slowing down my training. In just one year, Sakura surpassed me in taijutsu, even though she started at just six. But I am atleast still second best in girls. Hinata is weak as hell. From her behaviour, something must have happened in the Hyuga clan, because her demeanor has gone worse.

Well, not that I care what happens to an insignificant person like her.

I have come to the realisation that taijutsu is just not for me. Fuinjutsu is.

It may sound clichéd like a fanfic protagonist, but I am very good at it. Mostly because I know kanji very well, I have the imagination of a person who has devoured anime content like a beast, and well, it's just not that hard to create basic stuff, certainly not when I don't have to consider the efficiency of the seals when Naruto is there.

I have successfully created a barrier in my apartment so that it became soundproof, and even opaque. A Byakugan user will probably still be able to see inside, but Byakugan blocking seals are there, I will need to either make them myself, or ask Hiruzen for it in exchange of some predictions.

Naruto though... he has some talent in fuinjutsu. But not like the fanfics. He probably isn't even half as talented as Minato and Kushina. But well, maybe he is just a late bloomer? I have started teaching him Sanskrit and Kanji, but it will take years before he becomes proficient in them. Naruto is a genius with body and creativity, not with theory.

Speaking of Hiruzen, it seems like he did his job, and Sakura's parents are still alive. Though, there is no news of Karin. Is he not bringing her here due to diplomatic issue? Grass country certainly wouldn't like its healing pill taken away. Plus, I heard that there is a war going on between Grass and Waterfall.

Hiruzen really doesn't have a spine. Just make it seem like Kumo kidnapped her, simple. Kumo is infamous for kidnapping kids.

Sigh. Anyway, nothing really major has happened in the year. Sakura's parents are still alive, so Hiruzen atleast protected them from Danzo.

But now that there isn't much time in the Uchiha Massacre, things will become interesting.
