Witches

 I gave him a confused look. This wasn't vampire territory and from the vibe I got from the mansion, it doesn't seem like humans were the ones who had occupied the mansion which could only mean that they were vampires. Does it mean that the vampires had dared to have a party in the human territory? 

"Before we go in, my love, there are a few things that you need to know. Don't look directly at anyone's eyes. Don't talk to anyone and be by my side at all times." This time, the smile on his face was gone and was now replaced with a serious look.

Weren't the people behind the door people? Why did he sound like he was entering a place filled with his enemies?

I decided to remain mute as he helped me get my feet to the ground. 

The next minute, he entwingled our fingers and began to stroll closer to the entrance door of the mansion. 

I heard him let out a sigh and in the next second, the door was made open by him.
