Although the comment seemed trivial to some, Allen understood what Jane was feeling. She was a lover of books and stories—any kind of stories. Romance, fantasy, drama; if it was a good narrative, Jane was there for it. Skipping her own backstory, missing the moment that could have explained who her character was, must've been incredibly disappointing. She wasn't just a player; she wanted the emotional depth that came with it.

Jane's eyes sparkled at Allen's words, her sulking fading into a more hopeful expression. "Really? You'd go back with me?"

Allen nodded, his smile warm. "Of course. We'll make sure to trigger everything next time."
