Alset let out an exhausted sigh as she sealed her lips. I opened my mouth to try and coax her out, only for me to retract it as she avoided my gaze. I suppose this was one conversation that had to end before it got heated...

"Moving on," I forcefully changed the topic, ignoring Jacob's impatient quip as I looked at Mathilde. "Care to reiterate our current plan for the masses?"

The stoic twin put her food down as she gave me a nod. Standing up, she took Alset's previous place in the center of the camp as she began her spiel.
