The engine got too hot and melted itself into the chassis, causing the Seigels etched into the damn thing to malfunction from the suddenly added material that it had to take into account to work. And that was on top of all the warping that almost made it Overload if it weren't for the meltdown ruining the Seigels' functions.

"Can't we just... cut it out?" Lise hesitantly suggested, one hand still holding a hammer as she stood over the disaster. "Maybe we can still fix the engine, at least."

Can we though? "I... kind of doubt that would work, Lise. The Seigels are pretty much fvcked no matter what we do."
