Without the flesh and ugly scar tissue surrounding it, I was now face-to-face with a gaping hole the size of an average sword's width. Understandably, that was because it was a stab wound that I made in the first place. The lack of blood seeping out of it was unnerving, and the fact that I couldn't see through the small hole of darkness made me dread just what I would see if I ever opened it up to clean it.
"I'm moving on to see your heart, Aria," I blinked away the nerves as I reached for the forceps. "I want you to stop blood flow through your heart, understand?"
My patient simply scoffed, "It's not like I'm not doing it right now anyway. Feel free to mess with it to your heart's content~"
Ignoring the pun, I gently pried the wound open to see just how much damage I did back then.
