When a movie is released, when people evaluate the movie, the most important comment direction is the shooting quality of the movie. 

In this era, asking how good the shooting is is, in a sense, asking how well the technology is used. 

The unprecedented use of special effects has influenced the development of movies, and whether special effects can be used well has become an important basis for judging whether a movie is good. 

A science fiction movie must have a lot of special effects shots. How are the special effects used? This is also the question most people ask.

And Levi did a great job.

It can be said that film technology has developed by leaps and bounds in the past few years. The technology that was used for shooting movies in the 1990s has now become obsolete. 

The development of technology naturally brings about the development of shooting techniques.

But these comments are not all reviews. While many media praised the film, others did not speak highly of it.

The reputation of the movie was severely polarized at this time. 

Some people think that the Three-Body Problem movie shooting was very good. It reflects the perfect combination of excellent shooting technology in some people's eyes, while others seem to be not very satisfied with it.

First of all, Levi has never filmed any real blockbusters in Hollywood. Although his movies have begun to use special effects since the time of Emily, in this movie, Levi began to use special effects on a large scale, which also made those critics who had previously praised him somewhat dissatisfied with his approach.

Old-school filmmakers are not very willing to accept these new things. Just like the science in the movie, they are opposed to it.

Moreover, they also have a lot of dissatisfaction with the scientific part.

In the movie, Some relatively sensitive issues were mentioned. For example, it mentioned environmental issues, the correctness of genetically modified technology, and other issues. These are relatively sensitive topics. After mentioning these, some media also expressed dissatisfaction with Levi's views.

This part is bigger than the use of special effects.

From a purely movie perspective, this movie is still very successful. The shooting technology, the use of physics, the penetration, and the rhythm are all very good. 

Although there are many special effects scenes, they have little impact on the effect of the movie itself, and the media did not raise too many questions.

There is no doubt that the level of Levi's film shooting is not bad, but some of the ideas reflected in the film are issues for people to discuss.

One of the very dissatisfying aspects is the portrayal of human nature in this movie.

In this movie, among the main characters, only one, policeman Renault, can be said to have a positive image. And of the other two leads, Paul is too fragile, and Susanna is too dark. These characters are disliked by the media.

Although people like movies to explore some profound aspects of human nature, in a commercial film, what people expect to see more is love beats hate. 

In Levi's movie, no one could understand Susanna until the end, and no one knew her pain. These overly exaggerated emotions of hatred without mentioning love also made the media a little dissatisfied. 

Since it is a commercial blockbuster, wouldn't it be better to make it more positive?

However, compared to the last question, these small problems are nothing.

"This is not a movie at all, but a large trailer."

The most vicious accusation is such words. The sudden end of The Three-Body Problem left too much suspense behind, making some people think the film could not be considered finished.

However, many people disagree with this statement. The Green Goblin was also left in Spider-Man 1, and Magneto was not killed in X-Men. These people in these movies have also stayed and are preparing for the next episode. 

After all, killing all the Earth Trisolaran organization members, compared with those who were deliberately spared, is much better.

However, this movie is different from those movies after all. Those movies are all based on original novels or comics. Everyone knows how those stories will develop later. 

However, there is no follow-up part for The Three-Body Problem. It is impossible to see how the story will develop. This also makes many people think Levi is deliberately titillating people's appetites.

These negative comments are not uncommon in the media. Levi's films have consistently received high reviews in the past, but this time, many people are debating it.

"Is this the first time for you? Shooting a commercial film is different from shooting a literary film, right?" In private, looking at the comments in the media, Clark also asked Levi's opinion, "Is it a little bit different adapting to commercial movies?"

In previous movies, no matter how much he changed the internal structure, external shots, or the core of the story, those movies still had the movies in memory as references. Even incomplete plagiarism is still plagiarism, and Levi has never forgotten it.

However, while filming those works, he was constantly accumulating experience: he participated in the writing of the script, from first cooperating with Bob to then adapting the script to writing the script himself; he accumulated experience step by step. 

He observes how the movie is shot, and he doesn't care about other things, but he has always been very tight about the settings of the shots and the use of special effects because he knows that these are the foundation of the movie; he has always been paying attention to the special effects. 

From Emily to the multiple TV series to X-Men, he supervised the process of special effects. He accumulated enough experience through those movies, and then he made this movie - although he plagiarized in the past, he made something of his own in this work.

It's normal for this movie to be less well-rated than those copied works - after all, the movies he chose are classics, so what's the surprise if the film he shot himself isn't as good as those? 

However, he was still very happy because the movie was at least half successful. The good box office, coupled with the fact that although they were dissatisfied, they mainly focused on the movie's theme rather than its shooting techniques. 

These things are enough to show that Levi is at least a successful director.

As a filmmaker, he has not wavered in his will because of sudden luck. In his heart, he still has not given up his pursuit of movies. Now that he has made his own movie, what else does he feel dissatisfied with?
