Chapter 25:The Clown and The Pugilist

At the end of the alley there was a blond middle-aged man dressed in white clothes, he had a revolver in his left hand while his right hand was extended towards them.

"It seems my faith is still too weak to fail like this..." the man muttered regretfully as he looked at Nathan and Sasha.

"You are the evil that plagues this world so the Eternal Blazzing Sun in his infinite wisdom sent me here to eradicate your corruption from this world" the man said with great reverence while his yellow eyes shone with crazy faith.

'Another crazy believer' Sasha and Nathan thought the same thing when they heard the man's words but they didn't stay much more still but aiming Nathan fired the last shot from his revolver while Sasha ran towards the blonde.

The man, still with that sparkle in his eyes, moved quickly to the side, dodging the bullet and taking out a dagger from his waist, he faced Sasha's sword.

Sasha slashed at the man's head who blocked it with his dagger and while blocking the sword he pointed his revolver at the woman's chest.

Sasha just raised her leg and kicked the blond's hand who missed the shot, with her leg still in the air Sasha kicked the man's chest who, deflecting Sasha's sword to the side, tried to stab the woman's leg who promptly withdrew her leg.

Emptying the cylinder Nathan quickly reloaded the revolver with a quick loader and took aim but since Sasha was so close he could only lower the revolver and took out cards from his pocket and aiming he threw them at the blonde as if they were knives.

Seeing the cards coming, the blond opened his eyes in surprise, kicking Sasha managing to get a little distance, the man moved his dagger managing to block some of the cards but he couldn't block them all and some hit him in his legs and arms.

"You dare to make a warrior of the sun bleed, you bastard!!!" the man shouted indignantly and aimed and fired towards Nathan who dodged the shots by jumping to the side.

Sasha wouldn't let the man continue to attack Nathan so she returned to the attack, again forcing the man to block her assault with his dagger.

'The woman's attacks have more power than they should and how is it possible that Nathan can use the cards as knives, weren't they supposed to be only sequence 9?' With a frown the man couldn't think much more because he had to block a slash from Sasha again.

Thinking fast Nathan using the agility and movement of the Clown he used the pipes and walls of the alley to gain some height and jump over the blond man who watched this with wide eyes.

Now behind the man with four cards in his hand Nathan threw them at the man's legs who couldn't do anything to dodge because Sasha wasn't allowing him to move.

So these cards were embedded in the legs of the man who cried out in pain and Sasha took advantage of the fact that the man was stunned and with her free hand she punched the man in the face who received it full followed by a knee to the stomach.

With a quick movement, the man barely managed to aim his revolver and shoot into the woman's stomach before she could keep her assault,the shot stunned her, moving quickly to her side he plunged his dagger into Sasha's back, right where her heart was.

'YES!' the man thought with great joy in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared when he felt that the body he had stabbed was lighter than it should be.

Sasha grew thinner and smaller until she became a paper figurine that was pierced by the dagger.

Next to Nathan Sasha reappeared and she was holding her bleeding stomach with her gloved left hand but there wasn't much change to her expresion,after all a Pugilist's body is tough enough to withstand this type of injury and keep fighting without problem.

'Sealed artifact!!!!' the man's pupils shrank and now without holding anything back his body began to glow with a faint golden light.

Nathan with cold eyes did not take long to aim his revolver and this time he fired to the man but he easily dodged the shots and then he extended his hand with the dagger and golden fire appeared where they are causing Sasha and Nathan to separate before the fire could touch them.

'The golden fire now shines brighter than before and its heat is greater,' Nathan thought as he barely managed to dodge the blonde's attack who charged at him,Nathan tried to aim his revolver at him but the blonde threw his dagger at him, hitting the revolver causing it to fly away.

Before he could get to Nathan he was intercepted by Sasha who jumped at him.

Giving a short jump to the side, he managed to dodge the woman's attack and the man gave Sasha a powerful kick that sent her flying,falling next to Nathan who looked at this in alarm.

Grunting in pain, Sasha looked at her arms for a moment and saw how they were trembling and red, if it wasn't because she was a Pugilist that kick would have broken her arm.

"Receive the divine punishment from The Eternal Blazzing Sun!!!!" the man shouted madly as he opened his arms towards the cloudy sky as if he wanted to embrace the sun that was hidden behind the rain clouds.

Nathan's senses flared with power so without hesitation he pulled out a matte black pocket watch from his vest.

Then he turned the pocket watch crown to the left and extended his hand towards the blond who was staring at the sky with a crazy look.

Suddenly the rainy clouds above where they were above them parted to reveal the sun that send down a beam of light that fell on the alley.
