● Nero P.O.V.(Point of View)●

Once I entered the mansion, I found what appeared to be a typical, ordinary house.

But since I knew this was not the case, I did what any sane person would have done. I mean, situations like this are very cliche. A seemingly ordinary house, but one where a big secret is hidden... I just have to find the secret entrance to the lab!

I have to admit it took me a lot more time than I expected. I went through the living room, bedrooms, library... Any place imaginable, but I found nothing at all. Maybe I should have asked Shirone where is the entrance.

But clearly that lab is underground so maybe it will work, I turned myself into pure shadow and tried to move through every spec of darkness to reach the underground.

When I finally reached this damned place I got myself in the middle of a laboratory filled with dead bodies burned by what seems like natural energy fused with devil energy condensed in flames and they were wearing researches jackets. So I started to look around to find any clue to where Kuroka might have gone, I promissed to find Shirone sister after all.

"Hold on, who are you?"

Somebody yelled at me.

"An unauthorized devil"

Someone else shouted while looking at me.

"The boss told us to not let anyone pass to the labs while he fight with the nekomata."

Another one literally exposed their orders.

"We cannot let him pass, lets attack him."

The first guy who talked reply to him.

Can those people be a little more obvious than this? I think not, at least I hope not. They are supposed to be researchers and scientists, how can they be so dense? Well, that explains why the Naberius family's projects never came to fruition.

As far as I can see, there are 12 devils in this kind of hallway beetween the laboratory and some kind of cells. The 10 who are in the front look weaker than the 2 behind, but they are holding marcial weapons.

"Calm down guys, it's just a mid-class devil. You should be able to take care of him without problem."

Said the devil who was on the right side of the back row.

"Be chill guys, nothing good will come of getting nervous. Pull your weapons and kill this dude."

The devil who was in the left side of the back row talked at the same time as if they were thinking together.

So there are two devils here who thinks with their heads. They're identical, I'm sure they are twins. I wonder what are their power level to be so confident in take me down, after all I entered this secret place without being captured or noticed.

Well, I don't want to waste too much time on those random extras, so I started running at my top speed, I easily reached at the place were the first of the low-class devil was located.

The first demon lunged at me with his short sword, but he was a step behind. With my agility, I dodged the attack by entering my own shadow and grabbed the demon by the neck, breaking it with a single movement. Wasting no time, the other nine demons charged forward with their weapons, each with a different fighting style.

The second demon came with a spear. With the dead enemy's short sword, I severed the demon's right arm, making it scream in pain before delivering a fatal blow to its head. The third demon attacked with a pair of axes, but had his blow parried by the spear I borrowed from the last opponent corpse and used it to defend myself. Then I swung the spear to destabilize the two axes and pierced the demon's throat before moving quickly to avoid the fourth demon, who attempted a back attack. I hurled the spear now imbued with my darkness magic at the opponent which resulted in the left upper half of the opponent's body being destroyed by the condensed darkness.

The fifth demon charged forward with a hammer, and was able to deliver a blow that slammed me into a wall.

The sixth demon tried to use this opportunity to attack, but he found nothing in the crater however as he looked back a body emerged from his shadow and with a precise slash, sliced ​​him vertically into two pieces. A moment later, his killer back moving through the shadows in that hallway.

The fifth demon slammed his hammer against the wall to destroy it and allow constant light to enter the hall and prevent so many shadows from forming. When he demolished the wall, he realized that his enemy had already advanced and he was immediately killed, having his head severed by a cut made by the opponent's hand embedded in condensed darkness.

In desperation, the seventh and eighth demons attempted a double attack. I dodged both attacks and quickly moved to the back of one of my opponents, then attacked the eighth demon from behind and crushed him with a blunt blow made with the hammer of the demon I had just killed.

Next, I turned towards the seventh demon and attacked him directly with a punch, but was stopped by the other two low-class demons.

The last two demons were cunning and tried a double attack again. I slashed them with both of my arms wrapped in darkness looking as two swords doing quick and precise movements. I simultaneously pierced the heart of the ninth and slashed the tenth demon's neck with one fluid slash.

Right after that, I just turned around and again punched the low class demon that was left that was trying to attack me from behind.

After killing ten low-class devils, I looked at the two middle-class devils, who strangely did not interfere in the fight. They reacted taking a step back.

"Hmph, you seem to have some ability for a mid-class devil."

Thats what the twin of the right said.

"Too bad you're facing us. If you knew who we are, you'd pee your pants right now."

The twin on the left continue the phrase started by his sibling.

Ok, those two are definitively idiots. Thats the only explanation... wait a minute, what in the name of my ancestor Lucifer they are doing.

The two twins are raising their two palms together in the air.

The twin on the right said.

Still with arms raised, they take a few steps back, moving away from each other, before advancing together with synchronized movements. As they meet in the middle, they spin their arms together, creating a spiral effect. Then, they put their hands up in the air and separate, spinning and jumping backwards. Next, they meet again and extend their arms to the sides, with their hands united.

"I am Binky."

Said the right twin.

"I am Winky."

Said the left twin at the same time.

"We are the The Bubblegum Binkies"

Said the guy named Binky.

"No, we are The Winky Wombats"

Said the guy named Winky.

"No, actually we are the legendary BinWinTwinsDits."

They speak in synchrony looking at each other as if confirming the affirmation.

While they were discussing between themselves I covered my fist in darkness and ... then no more annoying voices could be heard.

Nero felt strange on account of these people being the first rational humanoid living beings that he had killed in all three of his lives. But he wasn't feeling disgusted, he wasn't even scared, he was excited by the ecstasy of combat.

'Well, whatever bullshit I just saw doesn't exist anymore so I just need to look for Kuroka and get the hell out of here.'
