Chapter 194 : Calypso story

"So you want me to help her " asked Alex as he looked at Chantico and Calypso.

While he was talking with Jack, Chantico came to him and explained Calypso's situation, that she needed help and that she was unable to do it on her own.

Alex could see the desperation in Calypso's eyes. He could understand her desperation,as any god would be like that if they lost their powers and were unable to help themselves.

Alex knew that he could easily remove the seal placed on Calypso's powers, as it was a simple task for his powers. As he has vast magic knowledge it was simple for him to remove the seal placed on Calypso's powers.

However, he began to think about what he could gain from helping her. He knows he is not a saint that will help everyone; he helped Jack because he is one of his favourite characters from the movie.

As for Calypso he didn't have a like or dislike, then he looked at Chantico and decided to help as he thought Chantico would be sad if he reject it.

"Okay I can remove the seal," said Alex.

Hearing that, Calypso's face was filled with happiness. She was grateful that someone was willing to help her.

"But before I remove your seal I have a story to tell " said Alex with a mysterious smile. As he thought about what would happen if Calypso knew of Jones' betrayal.

Considering the situation was different from the movie, he was curious to see what Calypso was going to do. Either forgiveness or revenge on Jones.

"What is that story? " asked Chantico.

"It is a love story about a goddess and a sailor," said Alex

All the girls became interested in what Alex was about to say next.

Then a hologram appeared in front of Alex.

"Once upon a time, there was a goddess who ruled the seas with her immense power and authority. All sailors and people feared her power and also had a great respect for her power " said Alex as he and he started to explain the story of the goddess and the sailor in vivid detail. The girls were mesmerized by the hologram and they were captivated by the story that Alex was telling.

"The goddess fell in love with a young sailor and she rewarded that love by giving a magical ship as well as the sacred task of collecting all the poor souls who died at sea, and ferrying them to the world beyond."

Calypso who heard this then understood that this was her story but she didn't understand why this man was talking about it now. But she didn't disturb Alex and continued to watch the hologram and looked lovingly at the man in the hologram.

"Because of that love, they decided to set foot on land once every ten years, where the man would be free to come ashore to be with her. But when the man came ashore after his ten-year duty, the goddess was nowhere to be found, for the seas are fickle and unpredictable. "

"As a powerful goddess who ruled that domain, the man thought the goddess didn't love him and decided to go against her as she played with his feelings."

Hearing there was a change in Calypso's expression as her mood became gloomy thinking that Alex was badmouthing her lover, as she didn't know about Jones's betrayal.

"So the man plotted with the group of humans, unbeknownst to the goddess, where they would tear the rule of the seas away from the sea goddess and imprison her in the body of a mortal woman." Said, Alex.

"And that is how they both were separated. The goddess still loved the man as she didn't know about the man's betrayal "

"The man was not able to bear the guilt and his love so he removed his heart and locked it in a faraway place."

"And their love story turned into a story of betrayal," said Alex as he clapped his hands and the hologram disappeared.

"No that is not true " roared Calypso with an angry expression as she didn't believe her beloved David would do something like this.

"Believe it or not it is true," said Alex with a Clam face.

"Do you think the Brethren court was able to imprison you without any help?"

"Do you think they know how to seal a goddess? "

"How can humans know that your lover Davy was the one who told you about it"

"Wake up Calypso you were betrayed."

"No, that can't be " he muttered Calypso's face looked like she had lost the will to live, her eyes empty, her face drained of colour. She couldn't believe what she had heard, and she felt as if her world had just crumbled around her.

But soon that expression turned into fury and rage, and she clenched her fists, her eyes blazing with anger. She felt betrayed and hurt, and she wanted to scream and shout and cry.

"Chantico, you try to console your friend?" asked Alex as he felt sympathy for Calypso.

All girls understood the story was real and the betrayed woman is in front of them.

"That man I scum," said Annabeth with an angry expression.

"Yes, how can he betray her like that," said Hermione

"The man is not very evil," said Elizabeth

"Calm down girls, there was nothing wrong with what Jones did."

"He felt betrayed when Calypso didn't meet him at their ten-year promise "

"In anger, he did this. You can't blame him."

"Both parties are at fault. They didn't understand each other that much and this caused this "

"Love requires understanding, just as you girls wait for me for years when I go to another world," Alex said with a loving smile.
