Trip to the Elven Village Part 1

Dax slept through the night next to Drakie. He was awoken the next morning by a banging on his door. "Time to get up, Dax." Leo said. "We need to get a move on soon and breakfast is ready."

Dax woke up tired, he used a lot of mana yesterday and had not fully recovered yet. He poked Drakie a couple of times. "Time to get up buddy." He said.

"Drakie sleep." Drakie said.

"But there are pancakes." Dax said.

"Drakie will awaken." Drakie said.

Dax then got out of bed and got his clothes on for the day before making his way downstairs. He went into the kitchen with Drakie following closely behind him. Everyone else was all sitting around the table, eating their breakfast. A spot was already cleared for him with his plate ready.

A stack of syrup and butter covered pancakes awaited Drakie on his usual spot.

Dax sat down.

"Did anyone see the news last night?" Dax asked.

"No, can't say that we did." Leo said. "Why what happened? You look worried."
