Chapter 1 - True God

In a particular place on earth, a young man could be seen reading something seriously on his phone. The youth was so immersed in it that the scary stormy night outside didn't bother him even a little. Despite that, one could tell that the youth was quite a neat person upon seeing how clean and organized the room he had.

"How long should I suffer from this boring life that I'm living in? Just how lucky would I be if I could be reincarnated or at least have some powers that can travel into worlds. Haha. How silly. Well, if there really was a God out there, then will you please hear my thoughts and bless me." The youth solemnly muttered after he put down his phone and looked at the ceiling. He keeps staring at it before he stood up and prepare himself to go to sleep without knowing that someone somewhere in the vast universe was looking at him at the moment.

Unknown place,

Seeing the current situation of the area, one could exactly tell that something big must have happened upon seeing countless destroyed debris of unknown materials floating in the space however, while the place seemed devoid of life, a strange person could be found lying on a broken statue.

"Sigh. That potential successor of mine. I'd always known that he had some malice towards me, but I didn't expect that he would try to kill me just because he had enough. How silly of him to think that I could be killed by someone that easily. Well, despite his bad nature and lack of patience, he really had the skills to back him up, but such a person won't do good to protect my creation. Hmmm. I just wonder where he got this weapon from. This is quite a masterpiece." The strange person with an appearance that could not be described due to the interference of some godly aura was showing a very interested look as he stared at the weapon in his hand.

"What a shame. Looks like I have to find my next successor again. Hmmm. Oohh. Hehe. Interesting." The strange person laughed as someone caught his attention in a very far place before he suddenly waved his hand and disappeared leaving behind the destroyed and ruined area.

In a white room where no windows or a door to get outside, a youth was shouting with all his might trying to call someone for help but stopped midway because he found his efforts futile.

"Where am I, really? I clearly recall that I was preparing to sleep when suddenly a very bright light blocked my vision. Hmm. Now that I remember, the storm outside was very heavy, did I get struck by lightning, perhaps?" The youth collected his thoughts and thought about his current situation however, the more he thought about it, the more he became depressed and afraid.

"Am I currently dreaming or am I d-dead?" The youth could not take it anymore and draw a conclusion given his current predicament, especially after connecting the place where he was at the moment. He wasn't afraid of the thought of dying but thinking about the person he left behind saddened him much from which he clings to the idea that it was the other way round.

--Thirty minutes later--

"Hello, young man." Suddenly, a voice echoed throughout the white room and a man came out of nowhere and stood before the youth who was currently sitting on the floor.

"H-Hello, and who are you?" The youth replied with great awe upon seeing the strange man smiling at him, but it was not for long that his eyebrows knitted upon thinking where in the world did he get inside knowing that there were no entrances nor exits in the room he was in.

"Oohh. What a bummer. I expect a more exaggerated reaction. This is really getting interesting. Boy, your mind is quite strong for a human. Well, this is also good. Hehe." The strange man said with great interest as he looked at the youth in front of him.

"Your smile kind of creeps me. Well, I don't know who and what you are but seeing how you came here and your unbothered attitude, you must be G-God right? I just want to ask, am I really dead?" The youth already accepted his faith upon thinking about it carefully however, he also felt quite shocked and hesitant to accept thinking that there really is a God out there.

"Hahaha, you're very amusing. Well, you're still not dead but I used a little trick of mine and brought you here for a reason. Young man, listen carefully, I AM THE FATHER OF CREATION, I HAVE NO NAME BECAUSE I'M THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD. I will give you this one-time opportunity to become my successor. DO YOU ACCEPT IT?!!" The strange man finally introduced himself for which a sudden godly aura then came out from his body that would make any creature worship and kneel at him.

The youth was caught off guard by the sudden introduction and was mesmerized by True God's demeanor. He could tell that his body wanted to kneel and praise the Godly man in front of him but somehow that urge of doing suddenly stopped after True God put away his aura and just looked at him with a smile on his face.

"T-This is incredible. However, if I am not dead, then I may be dreaming right now. How silly. Does reading too many novels and manga get into my head that badly? Maybe I should really stop for a while and do some other things." The youth muttered with a sigh as he lay on the floor. He was actually almost on the verge of believing what was happening but sadly, he still had his calm and sound mind even in his dream.

"This is really amusing. Hahahahaha. Looks like I have found quite a candidate this time. Young man, you will understand it soon enough. For now, go back and see it for yourself." True God was very amused upon hearing the youth's words. He had selected many candidates to inherit his power and yet it was his first time seeing an amusing person like him.

With that, the youth's last memory inside the white room was seeing True God reaching out his finger on his forehead which a very bright light then blocked his vision before completely disappearing.

"Hmmm. Now that I remember. The world that boy came from was very interesting. The power to portray the existence of another universe, that's quite a weak yet powerful ability. Well, that may be the reason behind his extraordinary mind." True God muttered with his eyes piercing through everything and staring at a particular planet. Following that, he then just disappeared leaving the white room empty and quiet.
