Cotton Trade

While at the room, Mark was worried about the three. He activate his skill 'life track' to locate where the three have gone to.

His aura sense suddenly expand and his awareness sharpen. Three green visible line of life with numbers on it, was guiding his awareness to the whereabout of the marked persons. He could sense everyone's location, movements and safety status but he cannot detect other people's presence so whenever his aura sense go the places is always empty other then those people with his brand. He first follow the line that was leading his awareness to edelina and katrina. Edelina and katrina was shopping on a nearby accessory store, they seems just like a normal girls edelina was happily shopping for accesory while dragging katrina. Katrina didn't really mind tagging along and she was caressing a fashioned bow, display in the corner at the shop. It was also because, mark gave him a mission to protect edelina just this pnce and stay alert when danger comes.

Mark was quite satisfied about her having fun shopping while staying on guard of all times even if he could track her, he wasn't on her side at all times. But she suddenly act warily as if she was being watch, it also the case for edelina, the two seems felt mark's watchful gaze but they didn't know it was mark who were watching them. Because of the sudden change of the atmosphere. Mark quickly let go of watching them and started to look for sherry instead.

'how did they notice my presence? That system didn't give me some specific details!!'

Mark search for sheera's whereabout. Sheera was on the blacksmith shop talking to the shopkeeper there she era's raw strength is consirably strong so she could defend herself and she was just located near the inn.

Mark goes out to buy the necessary things he needed for making a foldable bed.

First thing he thought futon would be good and he knew how to make it and the tatami mats when they visited the country named Japan when they were on vacation to earth, but there seems to no rice plant in this forest all there is was some fruit tree and trees that are out of his previous world.

He suddenly remembered in the forest outside the city there was certain plant similar to a Cotton plant but no one seems to know what it was, but it definitely is.

And they seems to create a special kind of linen and polyester that came from a certain plant that was currently used by elven artisans when weaving. And the elven artisan is the one who creates clothing and other things that are woven, but not all artisans were elves.

'Making a bed is tiring, maybe I'll just create a futon made with Coton and a tatami mats made by a flexible spades like leaves of that plant around the Royal capital and a pillow with the furs here available'

So he got out of the Inn and rode his carriage outside the city.

The three will be fine by their own. He cross after near the market full of people selling some stuff, most was the bounty of the forest. He found a man selling a raw cotton but no one seems to buying it. The man was frowning over a pointless day of not profiting, in mark's eye.

Mark stops his carriage and leash it to a small tree that was standing as a post.

He approached the man sitting in his stall.

Mark strikes a conversation.

"hello, is this a cotton? How did you get it?"

"cotton? It's only uneatable fruit of a common plant outside of the city, I thought I could profit about it but no one seems buying it since this thing was not a fruit and they don't know what it was, and I might close my stall and find new things to earn money" said the man while frowning.

"so what does the plant called then, it doesn't seem like a nameless plant."

"it's called cofpas, it was just a common tree plant that produce inedible fruit"

"OK, then can I buy this instead?"

'let's not waste time picking them up, although I could save some money picking it directly from the tree but it's a waste of time that I doubt I'll be finish making a futon by night.' Mark thoughts, thinking about not wasting time over things when it can be bought with golden leaves.

The man' s eyes lit up and spoke enthusiastically.

"really?! Ohh your a lifesaver, Then, overall it's 100 fruit so it's 100 golden leaves"

'how did his attitude change, he really is a profiteer' Mark thought but he didn't back down from the negotiation talk.

"how about half the price? No one would buy it anyway" said Mark with full of confidence.

"b-but what if someone will buy it later... Argh fine" mark handed the 50 gold leaves into the man' s arm and he put all the raw cottons in his carriage and left the scene. When Mark was in the road he look at his fresh cotton dreaming about sleeping in a comfortable futon, again. He took out one raw cotton and opened it, he was surprised because a darkish blue gemstone contained within it.

After a while, the old man was joyously celebrating that he had gotten rid of the burdens he had. His sole mission was to take luna's tears into the blackmarket's auction in Siegfried so that his client, the bidder of that darkish blue gemstone will bid for it and he will strike rich.

The man was named zulkke, he was a great thief that had stolen many precious artifact within the algareth continent, he was a dark green haired man with a bloodline of half moon elf and a shadow elves which excel in hiding and blending with shadow and the shadow elf was living in a seclusion and lock out from the algareth continent. A thief is a thief, it wasn't tied down by empires and kingdom.

Zulkke was tasked to steal a gemstone called luna's tear, it is a darkish gemstone with a powerful energy of the moon contain in it. Though it was still a mysterious item.

It was an artifact that was said to be a tear of luna that was given to the hero who had sealed the evil god zhipur who consumed the sun god freun and manipulating the sun to brought destruction to the world. It was originally light-blue but because of zephur's partial power sealed within it. It become dark-blue and faint currupted aura, emanating in it.

After the hero sealed the demon god using the five artifacts. The the moon god lumino in order to prevent the the world from dying out, made a decision to replace freun and become the sun because the sun was completely been sealed with the evil god.

Even though he ascend into a sun, he wouldn't been able to change his blue light and could only spread warm heat using his blue daylight. It was the myth told in from the elven ancestors.

Zulkke successfully stole the gemstone from the national treasury by following and blending by the treasury guardian's shadow who entered the sacred treasury. He stole the gemstone but was not successful in hiding his identity, he was found out but he successfully escape from the Palace.

He was heading outside the empire sneakily and was supposed to arrived in shelvis Town, the first line of defense for Siegfried or one of Siegfried kingdom's Town that located near the border of silvermoon empire.

But he didn't want to get caught since there was a lot of eyes in the wall and the fact that it was made of an observer wood, a special type of detector that was made by merging some special wood and rare gemstones. It could detect even if a person in camouflage walk within it's detection range. I kind of creep him out and dangerous, so in order to not get spotted he could only used carriage and wagon that go in and out of the city. Without the need of hiding himself.

So zulkke used camouflage magic and disguised as a normal forest elf then approach an elven merchant that sell cotton.

The cotton merchant has an hidden artifact that see through disguised and deception or illusion. The shadow eye is pass down by his family for generation, and he was there selling cotton with a general knowledge about it not that zulkke know.

"mister, are you leaving? can I also ride with you"

"not yet, I still have to sell this, I would let you ride with me if you help me sell it" he spoke calmly but his eyes were like bounty hunters waiting for his prey to take bait.

But zulkke didn't feel that fierceness of the bounty hunter eye and could only perceive a calm merchant.

It was griedron a bounty hunter that tracks and hunt criminals and dangerous beast with bounty on it. He wanted to have a simple break and his friend suggested him to sell cotton to ease the burden of killings and hunting. He followed his trusted friends suggestion and all he could thought 'thank you my friend, your suggestion has given me a good time, now let's wrap up this prey and earn a fortune'.

Zulkke hesitated but when he scan his surrounding. Unusually, there's no carriage that was crossing the lane.

Only people walk by to buy goods. So he accepted it and he can just wait for a new carriage to cross by and use some of his skills to enter it.

"fine, I'll do it then" he spoke helplessly.

"ho you sure are keen in making money don't worry I'll be back soon when I'm done talking to the cofpas provider. "

"cofpas? Why does you sell useless things"

"you don't need to know about those useless thing, all you have to do is sell it, there are others who have keen eye for products"

Then griedron go at the back of the alleyway to meet his client, which he will claim his bounty.

And zulkke naively stand a stall to sell the cofpas while waiting for a carriage to sneak in, he can't just steal the carriage or else he will alert the guard, to safeguard the gem.

He put it into one of the raw cofpas leather and store it but he accidentally drop it and he quickly grab the wrong one without checking it's content. To avoid suspicion on the crowd thus he place it hidden in his cloak. Who knows if griedron suddenly appears.

There were no carriage that past by until mark happened to crossed by, zulkke looking for a chance to entered the carriage but the wooden carriage stop.

He frown a bit but the coachman. Mark came to approach him and they started to talk and negotiate.

He build up stories with lies and deception to trick Mark into buying it so he can get out of this place quickly. He successfully convinced him and even act hesitant so that his deceptions will work.

After helping Mark put the raw cotton in the carriage and he wanted to use his ability to enter it so he goes to alleyway but what approach him there were some royal guards with one holding a bag of golden leaf and the cotton merchant, he was surrounded.

He panicked and tried to use his magic skill to ran away, unfortunately the bounty hunter griedron throw a locking rope made of flexible 1000 year old gods iron. An iron that can seal away every magic and divine grace and negates them. 2 divine iron cuffs was also used to seal the evil god. Although it is extremely rare. Only a few people have it.

Even his disguise wore off and the captain of the Royal guards confirmed it and gave the 50000 bounty to griedron.

"target has been confirmed!"

"apprehend him immediately!!"

"you thief, were is the luna's tears?"

"shit, how did I end up into this situation."

That's how he got imprisoned in the shadow-less cell with an gods iron cuff with him. But the artifact is not with him anymore.
