Bobby immediately let her down and Kimberly fell on the ground like a rag doll. She started coughing violently. Her whole face was red, and she took in big gulps of air. Bobby knelt down near her and touched her head. She flinched away in fear but stopped herself from going too far away as she knew that would make Bobby even angrier.
"Sorry, dear. You know you are not supposed to hit me. I don't like when someone insults me, sorry," he said sweetly as if nothing happened a few seconds ago. He was acting like he just didn't hurt Kimberly. He made everything to be her fault.
"I know Uncle, I am sorry. I don't know what came over me, I became angry," Kimberly apologized.
For almost an hour, Kimberly just sat down on her couch, applying a cold compress to her neck. Bobby was too busy in the kitchen cooking food. He was smiling and humming a song while toasting the sour bread.
