"Shiro!" Spotting her cousin from afar, Saeko called out to him.

She ran toward him and he ran toward her.

The moment they met, she hugged him tightly, and even though he was taller than her, she pushed his head down, burying his face between her busts.

Hina saw it and from her position, she growled like a cat that had its fish stolen from it.

Shiro's face burnt up and he quickly pulled away from her.

"What was that for?"

"Sorry, I was a bit carried away because it's been so long since I last saw you." Saeko smiled.

"Still, that was too much wasn't it?" He replied, rubbing his head before turning to the person that had come with him. "Hey, Hina, come along."

Reluctantly, Hina with a spear in each hand walked forward, approaching Shiro and his cousin Saeko.

"Hina, here's Saeko, my cousin I talked about. And Saeko here's Hina, a friend of mine." Shiro briefly introduced both of them within seconds.

"Nice to meet a female friend of Shiro." Saeko smiled.

Hina smiled back with a smile that seemed to contain traces of threat. "Likewise."

"Uhm, I think we need to find a place to rest." Shiro spoke after their greetings.

"Let's go in. I'm pretty sure the others would like to see you guys. It was only this afternoon that I spoke about you being a better swordsman than me in every aspect except your mental strength and here you are, alive and in one piece. I'd like to hear how you've survived this far when we get inside." She walked ahead of them and the other two followed behind her.

"This is my cousin I talked about just this afternoon. He's Shiro Kisuke and a great swordsman. I wasn't sure he'd survive this far because of his weak mental strength but it seems like he's all grown up." The usually cold Saeko seemed happy as she introduced her cousin to the group.

Saeko turned to look at Hina. "And here's his friend, her name's Hina. Apparently, they're classmates and have known each other for a long time now."

Saeko turned to the team. "That's Shizuka Marikawa, a pacifist doctor and the oldest person on the team. Her name's Alice Maresato, a child we found when we went into hiding the night before yesterday." Saeko introduced the team one by one.

Then she pointed at Saya. "Saya Takagi is the daughter of the owner of this whole place and we're only here because of her. Chubby there is Kohta Hirano and he's good at firearms."

Shiro listened but he wasn't really interested in them. He was searching for his target. "And that's Takashi…" Shiro's ear perked up.

"I'm Takashi Komuro and it's a pleasure meeting you both." Takashi introduced himself and smiled at Hina.

Hina rolled her eyes. 'Don't push your luck.' She warned him in her head.

Ding!

A blue panel appeared in front of Shiro as the group continued speaking with one another.

Shiro stood there, intoxicated by what he was seeing.

"... Shiro? Shiro?" Saeko and Hina called in unison.

Shiro snapped out of his daze. "Ahh, I'm sorry, I was just thinking of something really important."

"Did you hear all we just said?" Saya asked with a hint of anger on her face.

"Pardon but I didn't. Could you summarize it for me just once more?" Shiro confessed.

Saya was visibly getting angry. "We're planning on leaving here very soon. We can't rely on them forever and we plan to leave as a group. Are you both coming? Of course, you'll come along." Saeko answered before Saya could say something that would be bad.

"Oh, that's fine by me." Shiro gave his answer immediately.

As if a heavy load had been lifted off from Saeko's chest, she exhaled. "Thank goodness. I would've had to leave the team so I could take care of you if you had refused to join us." The faces of the whole team members changed visibly.

"Are you being serious right now?" Saya asked with anger.

Saeko nodded. "Yes, I am."

"Even after what you told me at the temple?" Takashi interrupted.

"Yes, he's all alone. And he's the only family I have left. We need to have each other's back. I'm really sorry." Saeko answered again.

"So, it's good news that he's not going separately. At least, we'll all be together." The cold Saeko seemed cheerful since Shiro arrived.

Saeko turned to Hina. "How about you? Are you staying too?"

Hina walked forward till she was side-by-side with Shiro. "If Shiro stays, I'm staying."

"Well, now we have two new members of the team. Cheers and celebration." Saya snorted.

"Let's all calm down." Shizuka, the oldest, interceded before it got out of hand.

"We'll talk tomorrow when everyone is completely settled and relaxed." Shizuka ended the meeting and everyone walked out.

"Shiro, I'm sorry but it seems like Saya's on edge tonight, I think you should sleep in Kohta's room tonight. Your friend Hina, can sleep with me." Saeko called him.

Saeko turned to Kohta. "Hirano, you'd allow him sleep there right?"

"Sure, let's go." Hirano walked away and Shiro followed behind him.

When they got to the room, Shiro lay down on a couch in the room.
