Failure

*Narrator pov*

"CRUCIO!" Voldemort snarled watching the death eater that set up the raid team and plan wreath on the ground in pain

The screams of the still-alive death eaters sounded throughout the empty manor. Rage surrounded the dark lord as his torture got more and more intense.

It was a sight to behold the rage and might of Lord Voldemort, the death eaters who had not yet been punished cowered in fear hoping their torture was shorter wishing for this all to disappear like a bad dream.

Voldemort stopped his spell just before the death eater was impacted enough to cause serious effects and let it be known the dark lord was skilled in this type of torture he knew exactly how far he could go.

'How HOW!' his mind raged with a torrent of questions, 'Who is HE!'

"What will you do now?" Voldemort asked his groveling servants

"I- I," "CRUCIO!"

The dreadful screaming continued.

"What will you do now?" He asked again darkly

"Find him," The death eater declared his voice was raspy and his body shook uncontrollably his eyes blazed with hate toward the man in the silver mask

*Lucas Rosier POV*

I stared at the man who saved my son and my life, he stood calmly amongst the bloody scene as if appreciating the art he created. His mask was plain and haunting.

The man terrified me but, I would not admit that in front of my son.

Of course, I knew who he was I knew since the letter I received. Morpheus the unassuming divination professor I met the other night turned out to be like this.

It turned my blood cold.

"Who are you?" I asked while surveying the damage to my home

I didn't want to reveal his identity to Evan if he didn't wish it to be revealed. To think a man I treated in such a way ended up being a savior to my bloodline. The magic he used I've never seen it before, what it did to those men was nothing short of horrifying.

"A helping hand," He replied before walking through the rubble, "Do find a place with better protections next time," he added before disappearing in a flash

Looking over to my son I knelt down, "Are you okay?" I asked softly

"No," was his hollow response

A deep sadness filled my gut, he had to take a life so early. I have not been the best father, but today has changed something I must protect him.

Cupping his face I took out another portkey and murmured, "Safety," with the wards gone we disappeared in a swirl

*Morpheus pov*

Fatigued, was the one word to describe my condition. I tossed my mask to the side as I leaned against my wall. The spell I used was what is referred to as a ritualistic spell there are very few of them in existence. Not because they are necessarily powerful some are just like normal spells, no what makes them so rare is the difficulty in the casting and preparation.

I had to play a specific melody, at a specific time, while channeling my magic and emotions in such a raw manner. Letting the music flood through my body and my mind, the spell was not dangerous but it was taxing hence my fatigue. Not physical fatigue but emotional.

Using such emotions could be freeing to some but constantly staying in the state I was in was taxing to my mentality. One would wonder why I would use the ritual in the first place as I could have defeated them in a number of different ways. The answer was simple, I wanted to put fear into the hearts of Tom and his servants and awe into the hearts of the Rosier family.

Sighing I walked across the room and entered my ritual chamber once again, this room is probably the most used room in the manor now that I think about it. Walking over to the side I opened one of my cabinets and pulled out unicorn horn powder, which was ethically taken from an already deceased unicorn.

Taking the powder I took out a pendant with a small bottle on it which was made to unscrew. I gently filled it with some of the powder and then put everything away.

Dropping the pendant around my neck I entered my room and put a special dream catcher above my bed meant to help enhance my rest and ease my mind. Finally, I lit a calming incense and lay down on my bed.

The Unicorn horn powder will help gather pure energy around me while I sleep washing away my mental fatigue.

As I closed my eyes I hoped that my winter break would just get more interesting from here.

I awoke to the pleasant feeling if calm freshness. My body and mind felt perfectly at peace as I began my morning. As I ate my breakfast I wrote some letters one to Nicolas about our new business and another to Grommash to ask about when a good time to meet was.

As I finished my letters and my breakfast I found myself at a loss, it was a strange sensation so rarely do I find myself with true free time.

I don't know what to do truly.

*Tom Pov*

The figure kept appearing in my mind causing my blood to boil, who was that man? As I paced around my temporary office a thought struck me, I need to make another Horcrux. I don't know who that man was but he is clearly dangerous, he might be able to kill me.

I will NOT allow myself to die!

With fast steps, I approached the hidden compartment in the room opening it with a quick swish of my wand and a slow slither of Parseltongue I took out another of the founder's dear artifacts.

They are known as some of the strongest wizards to ever live, and now their most treasured possessions will become containers for my soul. I have been lucky to find some so quickly in my search, now I only lack the sword of Gryffindor.

I will find it soon of course nothing can escape my grasp and when I do the sword will house my soul like the cup before me.

A low chuckle habitually escaped my lips, you want to defy my power!? You want to kill me!? Well then try TRY TO KILL ME FOR I WILL BE IMMORTAL!

Now what innocent soul will be the catalyst for this horcrux, I have heard a Mud Blood is doing well in Hogwarts I might have to rectify that transgression.
