Jael leaned forward, "Now explain to me why you'd want to leave earlier than the stipulated time?"

Jean was visibly sweating while Erick stood in the corner with a mug to his lips. He didn't look a bit interested in what was going on. Jael could tell he was glad he could take a break.

"I-I…" Jean started.

Jael glared at the back of Jean's head. He had no problems letting the physician go early. Though it would be bothersome to transport the physician back here if there was a need to, however, it wasn't completely impossible.

"Speak up!"

Jean jerked and Jael touched his temple. He knew he wasn't making the situation any better for the physician but he was in no mood to be considerate. He was still annoyed.

"I-I don't think there would be any complications Vampire King…"

Jael winced at the title, it was so weird to hear it, only humans ever call him that.

"And if there is, would you take responsibility?" Jael asked unblinkingly.
