And She Said Yes.

"Makes you feel alive, doesn't it?" Henrick asked Caroline.

She smiled, ruffling his hair, and took the log from him.

"It sure does."

The wolf was getting near, they were also looking for shelter in the rain.

Caroline waved the fire around.

"That's dangerous!" Henrick said, getting out of the way.

"Oh…don't be a coward. Brother!" Klaus said.

Henrick shook his head. His show-off brother.

"Yeah…Henrick!" Caroline was playing with the fire.

The wolf was getting near, and it smelled the humans.

Caroline laughed.

They heard a growl.

"What was that?" She asked.

"I'll see…." Henrick said.

He wanted to show his brother that he wasn't a coward. He couldn't bear to disappoint his brother.

He stepped outside. The wolf jumped, and came near him.The wolf jabbed his teeth in Henrick's arm.

"NO!" Caroline and Klaus shouted together.

Klaus panicked.

Caroline saw the fire in her hand, she quickly ran towards Henrick, and pushed the fire in the wolf's face.

It yelped.

"Come on!"

She took arm, and pulled him up.

"Run! Nik! Run…"

She told Klaus, who watched the wolf with such fascination. The wolf stared at him with his amber-gold eyes.

"Nik!"

SOmething came over the wolf, and he jumped at Klaus, he scratched Klaus's shoulder.

"Nik! No!" Henrick shouted. He picked up the hot wooden log again, and struck the wolf again.

The wolf jumped back, he pulled his brother up. ANd they ran.

"Oh…My God! Henrick!" Caroline was crying. "Look at your arm."

She had torn a piece of her dress, and she was nursing his wound. It wasn't deep.

"Carol…"

"Quiet!" She told him. "They'll hear you!"

"Car…"

"Shh!"

"CAROLINE!" Henrick shouted.

"WHAT?"

"Look at Nik!" He shouted.

Klaus Mikaelson had fallen on the ground. His arm was bleeding.

"Nik….!" She shouted.

It was raining heavily.

"Oh…my.." Henrick was feeling queasy.

She ripped the hem of her dress again.

"Nik….just, please…"

Tears drops got mixed with raindrops. She wrapped the piece of cloth around the wound.

"Please…." She didn't know what she wanted to say.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"I am." He nodded. "Now…"

"Henrick…Get the herbs from your mother's stash." Caroline told him. "Hurry!"

"Okay!" He ran.

Klaus sat down properly, and she sat next to him.

"I hope it's not too deep."

"It's not, I can hardly feel anything anymore." He said, "You didn't answer me, Caroline."

"About what?"

"About what I asked before."

"Yes." Caroline told him.

"Really?"

"Always." Caroline's eyes shone.

So did Klaus's.

"Always."

Henrick came running back.

"I got it."

She took the paste from his hands. She tied up the wound tightly.

"I am going to change, and go to bed." She told them. "Good night."

"Good night." Henrick said.

"But…" He called out, but she didn't turn back.

They watched her go. Henrick sat down next to him.

"Did you ask her?" He asked Klaus. "Did you? Did you do it!?"

"I did."

"And?"

"She said yes."

"Yes?"

"Yes!"

"My brother's getting married!!" He shouted. "Married! Nik!! You are getting married!"

"I am, Henrick! I am!"

He was excited. So was Henrick.
