Chapter 2 - The Midoriya´s childhood.

As I was laying there in my new mothers arms, I could only try to think about my new situation.

"Okay. I remember everything up until my death, then there are some dark spots but not too bad. How did I even end up here? Think, think. What could I have done to end up as the child of Inko Midoriya? .... The last thing I remember was thinking what I would have wanted if I could live my life in this world... Yup, its official. Im the luckiest S.O.B out there."

Inko on the other hand was gushing over both me and Izuku. Inko Midoriya is a slim woman and has green hair that reaches between her shoulder blades with some tied in a knot at the back. Izuku, the MC of MHA, and as I have since found out, my new older brother by a few minutes, was a small kid with a tuft of dark green hair in the same shade as Inko. Me, Izumi as I have figured out from listening to Inko and the nurses, was the one of us who looked different. Instead of dark green hair, I had more like a pastel green coloration. Inko had no answer to it since our father, Hisashi, had black and she dark green. Even then, she still gave both of us equal love and care. Must be a side-effect of living in a world of superpowers, you dont get too surprised if something strange happens.

Not long after our birth, we were brought back home with Inko. As i expected there was no sign of Hisashi. Seems even as far back as this, Inko had been a single mother. I made my decision that when I get older and have a better control over my body, that I would help her as much as I can.

A couple days later we met Inkos best friend, Mitsuki Bakugou and her husband Masaru, who themselves had just become parents to the one and only `Lord explosion murder´ a few months earlier. I liked them almost immediatly. Mitsuki is a woman with spiky ash-blonde hair and red eyes. Masaru on the other hand was a man of average height and build, He has short brown hair similar in style to his wife. He also wears a set of rectangular glasses.

They often came by to let Katsuki play with us and to have us bond. Mitsuki often spoke about what if the two of us got together hen we get older. In my mind I was just thinking how that could never happen, not even if he was the last male on earth. With my knowledge of how he becomes in a few years I could easily enough shoot that idea down. On another note, I was still not used to the wole me being a girl thing, so a lot of my focus went into that.

As we grew up, me and Izuku was almost inseperable. We played together, slept together, ate together and even bathed together. I blame my body for this. It seems that, while I may have my memories, my mind seem to have regressed into that of a childlike mindset. Its not like Im complaining, but I would have loved to keep my head clear even when young.

We were also often with the Bakugo family. They seem to want us to be as close in the future as they are. That wont happen unless Katsuki has a complete change of identity from his original.

This went on until we were four.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Izuku, Katsuki and I were now four. As usual, we played together. I had slowly gotten back my more mature mentality, but I didnt want anyone to be suspicious about how I could be so mature for my age.

As we were playing in the playground, a group of older kids by a couple of years came and started to bully my brother and Katsuki. I was a bit away so I wasnt a direct target.

"And what do we have here? A couple of boo-boo babies playing? Have you even gotten your quirk yet? I guess not since you are wasting time here. Hahaha." One of them said.

Even though they were only a couple years older, maybe they were six or seven, a quirk is important to the people of this society. If you dont have one, you are basically considered less than human. Thats why I decided from the start since i knew Izuku was quirkless, that I would protect him no matter what.

"So what if we dont have our quirks yet? It wont be long now." Katsuki spoke up.

"So what? We have our quirk, show some respect." Another of the bullies said.

At this I got ticked off. I started walking over and said.

"Respect is earned, not given. So if you want respect, then do something to actually deserve it."

"Huh? And what are you gonna do about it? Youre just a girl. You probably wont even become a hero like us so just buzz off." A third said.

At this I got pissed off. I might have been a guy in my last life, but I still had respect towards the opposite sex. And now that I was a girl, it was twice as bad.

"So what if Im a girl. It doesnt matter if I become a hero because you definately wont if you continue acting like this." I told them my honest opinion.

"Dont talk back to us like that. Youre just useless after all." The fourth and last of them said and went to push me away.

At this point I couldnt hold back my anger and felt a strange sensation bubbling up inside me. It felt as if my emotions wanted to go on a rampage and take a physical form. I pulled on this feeling, allowing it a bit of freedom, but not enough to go out of control. In an instant the four bullies were wrapped up in black tendrils with a teal outline made of energy. Everyone that saw this energy froze. They were shocked to see them. The first to wake up from his daze was Izuku. He followed the tendrils with his eyes only to see them coming from my right arm.

"Izumi! You got your quirk!" He yelled excitedly.

This seemed to wake everyone up from their stupor and they all stared at me in awe. At this point the teachers came outside to see what all the ruckus was about. When they saw me with the black tendrils, they were shocked that I was the first in our year to activate my quirk, but they had seen scenarios like this so many times that they quickly got over it and hurried over to see what was wrong.

"What happened here?" One of the three caretakers asked. And before either Katsuki, Izuku or I could answer, one of the bullies cut us off.

"She attacked us out of nowhere. She is crazy!" He said.

The caretakers looked at me with sceptisism in their eyes. To them I was always the smart and collected one. Thats mostly because I started talking, walking and reading very early. So if I wasnt with my brother, I had a book in my hand.

"What do you have to say Izumi?" Another asked.

"We were here playing when they came over to Izuku and Katsuki. They started belittling them about how they didnt have their quirks yet. I was a bit away so I wasnt a target. When I started to come over to stop them, they started talking about how a girl couldnt do anything and that I should show them respect since they have their quirks, but I just said that respect is earned, not given. After all this, that guy *points at the boy that wanted to push her* was going to push me away. I started to get a bit angry and its then that I felt something inside me, and this happened." I told them.

They looked at eachother with the same thought. "This sound more believable." They asked me to let them go and started to go around asking those who saw the whole thing but couldnt do anything about it. When they were done, they took the boys away and asked me and Izuku to follow since they had to call our mom about me activating my quirk. They sat us down on some chairs and picked up the phone.

*riiiing, riiiiiing* "Hello?" Answered the voice on the other side of the phone.

"Hello. Is this Inko Midoriya?" The teacher asked.

"Yes it is. May I ask what this call is for?" Mom asked.

"Yes of course. This is Mrs. Bigsby, your childrens homeroom teacher."

"Ahhh, yes. Whats wrong? Did something happen to my babies?" She asked frantically. Since we could hear the conversation, we started to blush in embarrassment. The teacher looked at us in amusement seeing this.

"No, no, nothing is wrong. Im calling to tell you that your daughter seem to have unlocked her quirk." She said.

"She what?! Is she okay?"

"Yes yes, she is fine, though you might want to take your kids to the quirk doctor in case this will have any bad effects on her. And since she activated hers, I think its best if you also take Izuku to get a check-up."

"Ah yes. Im on my way."

"Very well. We will be in the office."

"Yes thank you." She said before hanging up.

We sat there for a while waiting for mom. When she came running through the door, she was sweating bullets and was looking around frantically until her eyes fell on me and Izuku. She quickly ran up and hugged us. She started checking us over and asking if we really were fine. When she was done with that she turned around and bowed to the teacher who just looked amused.

"You two, say goodbye. I already made an appointment at the quirk doctor."

We bowed and wished her a good day before leaving. While in the car my mom wanted me to tell how it appeared. To say she was not pleased was an understatement, but she calmed down andkept driving.

Arriving at the hospital we went out of the car and entered. We walked to the counter and mom spoke.

"Good afternoon. We have an appointment with dr. Ujiko." She said to the receptionist.

"One moment please while I find your appointment." She replied.

Mom nodded and we stood for a couple of minutes before she spoke again.

"Here it is. Just sit over there until you are called." She said, pointing to some chairs against a wall.

We thanked her and sat down. Some time passed, Izuku and I started to doze off. But before we could a fairly old man of a portly and short stature came out from a door. He is completely bald and has a very large and bushy mustache. He wears a pair of goggles that are shaped somewhat like gears, along with a white, buttoned-up labcoat.

"The Midoriya´s?" He called out.

"Come on you two. Its time to go." Mom said as she stood. I woke Izuku up and we followed after her. The doctor noticed us and turned his attention to us.

"Ah so you are the Midoriya´s. Ready to get your quirks checked?" He asked.

"Yes sir." Both of us answered in chorus.

"Well then. Please follow me." He said as he led us to his office where he performs the check-ups.

Arriving at the office I could see that it was fairly small. It consisted of a desk against one of the walls, a couple of chairs and a curtain closing of the area where the tests are made. He told us to sit down and started talking.

"So miss Midoriya, I hear that one of your children has already shown signs of activating their quirk, if so, may I ask which one and what characteristics it shows?" He asked.

"Of course doctor. My daughter, Izumi, used her quirk earlier today while trying to stop some bullies. She said she got a bit angry and just had a feeling. It came from her arm as black tendrils with a teal outline made from some kind of energy."

The doctor looked surprised, then thoughtful.

"I may have an idea of what the quirk is. I have heard of another that had a similar quirk, but I have to test it to be certain." He told us.

Mom looked surprised, but accepted. The doctor then looked at us.

"Now which one wants to go first?" He asked.

I looked at Izuku who was very excited. I sighed and smiled.

"Please let nii-san go first. I can wait." I said to them.

They looked at me like I grew a second head for a moment, but just accepted it. After Izuku got tested, it was my turn. The tests were quick and painless. I tried to avoid the tests where he would have gotten his hand on my DNA, considering who he worked for, it was the best idea I got that day. It isnt until a long time from now that they figured out that he works for All for one, but so long as he dont become interested enough in me that he would hurt my family to get to me.

After all the tests were done and over with, we sat back in our seats. The doctor looked over the results he had in his hands for a minute, before putting them down and speaking.

"Well Im surprised at the results." He started off.

"How so?" Mom asked him

"Well, remember the quirk I told you about earlier? Well, it is the same quirk, but little Izumi seem to have gotten a boosted version. You dont happen to know the name `Lariat´ by any chance?"

"No, I dont seem to recall that name." Mom said with a thoughtful expression.

"Well too bad. But it is the same quirk as his, on top of a secondary quirk as well."

"T-two quirks?!" All three of us nearly shouted at the shock, not me so much out of shock as just trying not to be suspicious.

"Yes, little Izume here has the quirk Blackwhip and the quirk I will call Hecate."

"Well, what can you tell us about them?"

"Well Blackwhip grants the user the ability to produce energy tendrils from any part of their body and command them at will. These tendrils are black in coloration with a glowing light teal outline. This Quirk appears to be powered by emotions, primarily anger, meaning the greater the anger, the stronger the Quirk becomes." He started explaining.

"Oh wow, that sounds strong." My mother said shocked while Izuku was just excited like the bean he usually is.

"Now then, a quirk this strong also has its weaknesses. This comes from the quirk singularity theory as you may know. Though the downside is not the worst I have seen."

"What is it doctor?"

"Well, if not fully in control of their emotions, the user runs the risk of losing control of the quirk. However, with enough training that downside is more or less null and void." He told us.

We sighed in relief after hearing this.

"What about the other one. Hecate, right?" Mom asked.

I just listened carefully to see what he would say considering I know where the name Hecate comes from. I want to know if its the same or just shares a name.

"Ah yes. Hecate is a weapon maker quirk. If Izumi here knows how a gun or a knife looks like, she can summon them. However, once the quirk is deactivated, all weapons summoned returns to the void they came from. I suggest allowing her to learn how to use these weapons as we dont want her to accidentally summoning a gun and fire it at someone. There is also the extra ability of enhanced senses and reflexe, this also includes flexibility."

I was a bit shocked, however not as much as mom. She looked contemplative for a second and patted my head as Izuku just hugged me and jumped around a bit.

"And what about Izuku?" She asked.

The doctor sighed before saying.

"Im sorry to say that young Izuku does not seem to have a quirk. You can see here a comparison between Izuku and Izumi´s x-ray. In Izuku´s photo, you can see that he has two joints in his pinky toe while Izumi only has one. This is a phenomenon that scientists discovered was a difference between quirked and quirkless people."

My mother looked at Izuku sad and I hugged him tight while also crying a bit, even knowing this would happen. Izuku however was broken, he was frozen on the spot.

This was where it started, and where Im going to start changing the story.....
