Infinite Tower (3)

"Wow!"

Yulong sighed as he looked at the people who had come to challenge the tower. Although it looked heavenly, Yulong had seen the other towers and was not surprised by this tower's beauty, almost disappointed.

"I might not make It past the 5th floor... I heard it's really hard..."

"Calm down, no need to worry anyway."

"Oh gosh! Will I die in there...?"

"No death isn't permanent."

These were the exclaims of people entering the tower for the first time; players and NPCs alike.

Yulong shook his head and entered the tower.

"Look at that guy! 10 floors?" A few people said as the number 10 next to a name lit on a board positioned outside the tower.

The elderly man at the desk looked Yulong up and down and frowned. "If you underestimate the tower, you're severely wrong, kid..."

Yulong said nothing and registered his name before heading through the double doors that led to the interior of the tower. His name then appeared on the board with the other candidates as the 100th person with a glowing number 1 to indicate that he was on the first floor.

As he entered the tower, a few people watched him.

"So young! Is he a genius?"

"I doubt it. He probably won't make it past the third floor."

"I bet 20 Yang that he will!"

"What about you, Xia Bi? Will you challenge the tower?" A couple of people crowded a beautiful young woman. Her black hair reached her waist and her face could draw men without much effort.

"I bet 30 Yang that Senior Sister Xia Bi will definitely make it past floor fifty this time!" This came from a decent-looking young man in the back of the crowd.

The beauty Xia Bi wrinkled her nose at this person. "Wu Liang, how many times do I have to tell you? You have no permission to call me Senior Sister..."

Wu Liang grinned. "Soon enough you'll be calling me 'husband'!"

Xia Bi narrowed her eyes at Wu Liang, directing a bit of her killing intent at him. Did this idiot have no fear?

She then turned to the board, more interested in Yulong who just went in.

'Ao Bing? So that's your name huh... Let's see how you do.'

...

Meanwhile, on the other side, Yulong was transported to another pocket dimension in a wide-open plain.

<Welcome to the tower!>

<The first floor will begin in 20 minutes. Please prepare yourself. If you finish preparing before the timer runs out, just say 'skip'.>

These messages were displayed in front of Yulong. Of course, he didn't need preparation as there was nothing to prepare. Yulong stretched before saying skip.

<Good luck! Your floor begins now!>

{30:00}

{29:54}

As soon as this countdown timer was displayed the whole pocket dimensions shook as a beast shot out of the earth itself. On its back were wings that stretched as long as Yulong's body and it had the demeanor and shape of a dragon. Only, it had no arms and was white colored.

<Wyvern Hatchling>

<First Level True Martial>

'A Wyvern on the first floor? Seriously?' Yulong thought. However, he summoned his blade and charged, taking no chances as he cleanly cut through the Wyvern with a glowing slice.

<You completed the first floor! Rewards will be accumulated on the Fifth floor.>

Yulong didn't bat an eye and soon ascended to the next floor.

Outside, people were shocked to see someone pass the 1st floor so quickly.

"Who is this Ao Bing guy...? He must've used his most powerful move at the start, no one can Ascend so quickly...!" These were the complaints from many people.

Meanwhile, Wu Liang raised his eyebrows in suspicion. 'Just who is this bastard?' However, he would be proven surprised when Yulong climbed the next 4 floors in a few minutes.

Yulong, who was currently in the tower, could finally reap his rewards.

<You obtained x20 Yang>

<You obtained one random skill>

<You achieved a breakthrough!>

<You are now a Second Level True Martial Realm. 216/5,028>

'Only enough to advance me once, huh? Looks like I'll be in here for some time.' Yulong thought. Not only that, but soon, his cultivation speed would slow as it took more QI to advance each realm.

In an hour, he would start to approach floor fifty, advancing five levels in his cultivation.

Every five levels, he could either leave or stay. After floor fifty, though, it would increase significantly.

As Yulong stepped onto the edge of a cliff, he looked down at the powerful tornadoes. The tower also used enemies from his past life, but he didn't know which enemy he was going up against-

Yulong suddenly ducked, evading a sharp wind blade before doing a back flip to get a view of his opponent.

<Wind Spirit>

<Sixth Level True Martial>

'Hm?' Yulong thought as he landed down on the ground again. He wasn't afraid of this spirit, as now he could use Qi. After slipping his sword into his inventory, he readied his hands.

Tornadoes spun as wind bellowed, lifting Yulong's robes and making him look 'cool'.

His palm glowed an ethereal yellow just like before, as he launched himself towards the spirit, who promptly dodged.

"Phantom Sealing Palm!" Yulong yelled in the wind, as a phantom palm that was many times bigger than his own hand appeared.

Boom!

The palm made contact with the spirit, vaporizing it in an instant.

<You obtained x100 Yang!>

<You obtained one random skill!>

<You achieved a breakthrough!>

<You are now a Seventh Level True Martial Realm. 100/25,810>

<Do you wish to leave or continue?>

"Leave," Yulong said.

His name was then taken off the board. Everyone knew what this meant; he was coming outside.

"I can't wait to see this Ao Bing guy!"

"He must be a really powerful young master!"

Wu Liang simply watched, waiting to see the face of this Ao Bing.

When Yulong walked out, he gritted his teeth in anger as a vein bulged out of his head.

"You...! Bastard!"

I didn't like the way this chapter turned out either, but here you go.
