Chapter 537: The End of the Fourth School Year (Edited)

After the prize-giving, Hogwarts students had to wait a few days for final exam results before they could go home, so Fish stayed at school, spending the days with Hermione or pestering Professor McGonagall to teach the Apparition Charm.

That day, Fish was again pestering Professor McGonagall to teach Apparition when an elf came to tell her that Professor Moody had woken up and that Dumbledore had asked Professor McGonagall to take Fish to the infirmary.

With nothing better to do, Fish followed Professor McGonagall to the infirmary.

With the help of Dumbledore and Professor Flitwick, Moody had been rescued a few days ago, but had been too weak and under the spell for too long to wake up until now.

Moody, who had just awakened, was like a frightened bird. When Fish followed Professor McGonagall to the infirmary, he was talking to Dumbledore and nearly jumped out of his hospital bed.

"So you're the real Moody, huh?"

?(??ω??)?

Fish ran to the head of the bed and looked curiously at Professor Moody.

The real Moody was much paler and thinner than the disguised Moody that Barty Crouch Jr. was disguised as, but given his previous experiences, it was only natural for him to be in that state.

In addition, his gray hair also looked bumpy, like Fish's burnt fur back then, obviously all of which were pulled out by Barty Crouch Jr.

The biggest difference, however, was the absence of the magic blue eye from his face.

"Oh, that's right!" Fish recalled, "Fish forgot to bring your eye nya!".

"Well...never mind," Moody's scarred face flashed an ugly grin, "I'll buy another one."

Fish's affinity worked at that moment, and Moody, who had been startled, visibly relaxed, which was one of the reasons Dumbledore had asked Professor McGonagall to bring Fish in.

"You're Fish, aren't you? Thank you."

"Nya?"

"Thank you for avenging me," Moody thanked Fish, then said through gritted teeth, "I hope you didn't beat him to death so I can get my revenge!"

"Can you beat him?" Fish looked at Moody suspiciously, "You've been locked up with him for a long time."

Moody hesitated for a moment and then explained with some embarrassment, "I was ambushed by him!"

Dumbledore stroked his beard happily as he saw Moody's mental state improve, then said to Fish, "Fish, Alastor just woke up, his body is still weak and his mental state is not good, can you help with the treatment?"

"Yes nya!"

?(?ΦωΦ?)?

Without hesitation, Fish cast a rejuvenation spell on Moody's body, and then, on second thought, added a stabilization spell.

With Fish's two spells, Professor Moody's condition had again improved markedly.

"What an amazing boy," Moody said as he sensed his condition, "No wonder he was able to defeat Voldemort."

"I know it's unkind, but we have little time, Alastor." Dumbledore chimed in, "There may not be much time for you to rest, we need to get to the people we can gather as soon as possible."

"Heh," Moody said with a smile, "I'd like that, what do I have to do?".

Then they began to talk about subjects that did not interest Fish at all, and Professor McGonagall joined the conversation.

(?ω?)

Abandoned Fish glared at the evil adults with his eyes, waved to Madam Pomfrey and went to play with Hermione.

...

Since Dumbledore and the others were busy, Professor McGonagall was usually out of sight, and Fish couldn't keep pestering her to teach Apparition Charm.

She could only spend time with Hermione in the schoolyard.

As the days passed, the school year was finally coming to an end, and everyone except Fish and Harry, who hadn't taken their exams, were either excited or disappointed to learn their final results....

As expected, Hermione was first in grade again.

After packing their luggage, all Hogwarts students, along with guests from the other two houses, made their way to the Great Hall for this year's End of Term Banquet.

Normally, for the graduation banquet, the hall was decorated in the colors of the winning house. Tonight, however, there were no decorations in the Great Hall and it looked normal.

Students who didn't know what was going on talked in amazement, wondering what was going on this year.

The real Mad-Eye Moody was now sitting at the teachers' table, with a new peg leg, but no new magic eye yet, so he had a blue crystal ball in his eye socket.

Karkaroff had disappeared the night Fish and Harry returned, and lately it was Krum who had been handling Durmstrang's affairs, one of the few students who had been told the truth.

Madame Maxime was sitting with Hagrid, and the two were talking quietly about something, and it was clear that their relationship had not only mended, but had progressed.

After all the students were seated, Dumbledore rose from the teachers' table and everyone stopped talking and turned their attention to the headmaster, who had risen to his feet.

"Another year," Dumbledore said looking at the group, "It's over."

He stopped speaking and looked at the students below him before continuing, "Tonight I have a lot to tell you all, and the Ministry doesn't want me to tell you, but what I will tell you..."

Dumbledore's words piqued the crowd's curiosity, and their ears pricked up in case they missed a word.

"Voldemort... Has returned."

The entire Great Hall went into an uproar at these startling words.

There was shock, fear, and even joy, with different expressions on everyone's faces, but most had a strong expression of disbelief on their faces.

"I know it's hard to believe, but this is the news that Fish and Harry have brought." Dumbledore waited for the noise in the auditorium to die down a bit before continuing, "And he has used some sort of evil spell to regain his powers."

With Fish, Dumbledore's words were instantly more believable.

Because Hogwarts students knew that Fish was unlikely to lie about such things... exactly, except when it came to avoiding punishment from Professor McGonagall, and Fish was basically too lazy to lie.

"Some of my students' parents might be shocked by what I'm doing, either because they can't believe Voldemort is really back or because they think I shouldn't tell them, after all, they're so young."

Dumbledore said quietly, "However, I think it is always better to tell the truth than to lie, and they have to be prepared for that. I think...I really hope I'm wrong...I think we are all in for some dark and difficult times ahead."

His words made all the students depressed...even that of the Slytherin students.

In fact, students like Malfoy had received letters from their parents informing them that Voldemort had been resurrected and defeated by Fish.

Unlike when they were on Voldemort's side, the Death Eaters have chosen to play both sides, telling their children to take Fish's side at school....

Harry Potter's defeat of Voldemort was unseen, and the Death Eaters now know that it was due to an ancient protective spell, a weakness that Voldemort has now overcome.

But the fact that Fish would fight Voldemort again and again, and even defeat him afterwards, was witnessed by many Death Eaters.

So it was doubtful that the so-called Dark Lord could still almost rule the magical world of England as before.

Even if it was more profitable for them to follow the Dark Lord, it would be pointless if they didn't succeed.

And besides...

Dumbledore is not dead yet!

Lucius Malfoy, who has survived Voldemort's downfall, would not be foolish enough to follow Voldemort, who couldn't even defeat Fish, down the same path.

"The purpose of the Triwizard Tournament is to enhance and promote mutual understanding in the magical community. In light of what is happening now...and in light of Voldemort's return to life...this connection is more important than ever."

Dumbledore looked at Madame Maxime and Hagrid, Fleur Delacour and her Beauxbatons classmates, and Victor Krum and the Durmstrang classmates at the Slytherin table.

"All guests in this Great Hall," said Dumbledore, resting his eyes on the Durmstrang students, "You are welcome whenever you wish. I repeat to you all: in the face of Voldemort's resurgence, we are only as strong as we are united; if we are divided, we will be weak."

"Voldemort's methods of creating conflict and hostility are brilliant. We can only fight him to the end if we show the same unwavering friendship and trust. Differences in customs and language will be no obstacle if we are united in purpose and open-minded."
