With Fish once again "confined" by Professor McGonagall, Hogwarts seemed to have calmed down again, and with the temperature continuing to drop, it was becoming increasingly rare to see young wizards outside the Common Rooms in their free time ...
Except for a few couples who, in their need to find a secluded place to do couple things, huddled together in a small corner to keep warm against the cold wind that chilled their noses.
As for Fish, his confinement had been going on since the day the first Quidditch match ended.
Because Professor McGonagall hadn't specified how long he was to be confined for, he figured he could lie for as long as he could, and the ignorant kitten hadn't realized anything was wrong, and had been confusingly "confined" for the better part of a month.
However, thanks to this "confinement", Fish was now able to complete his homework without any guidance from Professor McGonagall, after all, Fish had a very intelligent mind and was able to learn much faster than the average person.
He had even taken the opportunity to learn a sound spell and a smell spell from Professor McGonagall, as well as a bubble head spell (Caput Bullae) that did both, but with much less effect.
However, even with these spells, they were not much help to Fish.
The smell spell removes the smell of the person the spell fell on, and although Fish is a free spirit, he knows he can't use a spell on a teacher...even if he wants it to smell less bad.
The sound-eliminating spell did work, but Fish didn't usually use it much, and he wasn't going to want to watch a Quidditch match anytime soon.
Besides, with the sound completely cut off, Fish found himself uncomfortable with the deprivation of his sense of hearing or smell, knowing that cats, like him, were always aware of their surroundings when they slept.
Even the bubblehead spell (Caput Bullae), which only attenuated smell and sound without blocking them completely, was unbearable, so the most he could do was to use a bubblehead spell (Caput Bullae) to block the strange smell of Professor Quirrell's body in his Defense Against the Dark Arts class.
Normally, Fish was used to his keen sense of being able to easily detect the movements of wind and grass.
Other than that, the only thing that hadn't changed was Fish's handwriting, which was still as erratic as a cat's crawl and the written words were barely recognizable.
But Professor McGonagall was in no hurry; it was a pleasant surprise to her that Fish would study and continue to do so until now, and she would have plenty of time in the future to correct his handwriting.
That afternoon, Fish was in Professor McGonagall's office doing homework, as usual.
Being an active kitten, Fish's body was constantly moving as he wrote, which was one of the reasons his handwriting was so erratic.
But even so, it was not easy to get Fish to sit down to do his homework, and after about 10 minutes of writing, he could no longer sit still....
Fish, who didn't want to do his homework, stuck his pen under his nose, then leaned back and lifted the chair high.
As he rocked the chair back and forth, he had his head leaned back on the back of the chair, his arms above his head, also on the back of the chair, and he waved his arms toward Professor McGonagall, who was reading behind him, as he shouted in long syllables.
"Minerva~ ?●ω●?"
"What's wrong?"
Professor McGonagall, who was reading a book, didn't look up and answered in a nonchalant manner.
Now that Fish didn't need her watching him all the time, even if he deserted in the middle of his homework, Professor McGonagall didn't mind, as he had to finish his homework if he wanted to leave her office.
"I'm hungry, meow~"
The chair was moving more and more, causing Fish's voice to rise and fall strangely.
Professor McGonagall looked at Fish, ignoring the shaking of his chair, which, after all, was but a small feat given Fish's balance.
And in the last half month, Professor McGonagall had been faced with a similar situation too many times, and she had long been used to how to deal with this fidgety little fellow.
"Then finish your homework and let's go to the kitchen for snack," said Professor McGonagall.
"Can't I go eat first? I'll be back to do my homework after I finish eating~"
Fish pleaded pitifully.
"Sadly, no."
But Professor McGonagall was not impressed, the little man was so good at getting his way. so how could she, who is familiar with Fish's temperament, agree?
"Hmph!" (●`3′●)
Fish crashed into the table, and the chair beneath him made a loud landing sound.
Removing the quill from under his nose, Fish muttered "Minerva is evil" as he continued writing his homework.
Three minutes later...
"Minerva~ ?●ω●?"
"What's wrong again?" said Professor McGonagall.
"I need to pee~"
"Behind that door next to you is the bathroom" Professor McGonagall said.
"Hmph!"
Fish pretended to run to the bathroom for a moment, then sat back down and shook the chair.
Within two minutes of writing, bored again, Fish transformed back into his cat form, jumped up on the table, and began tugging at his quill.
"If you don't finish your homework soon, you won't make it to the kitchen in time for dinner."
Slowly warned Professor McGonagall, after letting Fish play with the quill for a while.
"Meow... (I know... I know...)"
Reluctantly, Fish returned to his human form and sat back in his chair to continue his task.
This time Fish lasted for about ten minutes, and then....
"Minerva~" ?●ω●?
"What?!" Professor McGonagall said.
"Your cat ears, they're actually made by Transfiguration, aren't they?" ?(●ΦへΦ●)?
Fish turned around and knelt on the chair, resting his hands and chin on the back of the chair, looking at the cat ears on Professor McGonagall's head that twitched from time to time, and asked with determination in his voice.
Fish had already suspected it when the twins were selling hairpins with cat ears, but he had forgotten about it and now, bored by his homework, he remembered it again.
Professor McGonagall froze for a moment, then put down her book, nodded and said, "Yes, I used transfiguration to make them."
She walked over to Fish, bent down on her knees, stroked Fish's head and continued, "My Animagus Transfiguration can't change like you do."
"Animagus?" ?ω?
Fish cocked his head to one side for a moment, he remembered the word, Minerva had said it a long time ago, but at the time Fish hadn't paid much attention to it.
"Yes," Professor McGonagall smiled slightly, "Wizards like us who can turn into other animals are called Animagus, it's a very difficult spell to master, but you're different, Fish, you're a born Animagus."
"... I understand, meow!"
Fish extracted the main message from Professor McGonagall's long list of words.
"Fish is better than Minerva!" ?(●ΦωΦ●)?
"Yes, yes, Fish is the best."
Professor McGonagall smacked the side of her head with a smile, "So good old Fish must be able to finish his homework quickly, huh?"
"Meow!"
Fish, who was tilting his head and tail up, froze and then stumbled, "Actually.... Fish isn't that good either..."(●?ω ?●).
After a few jokes, Fish resumed his task.
This time, however, the word "Animagus" was on his mind.
He hadn't understood much of what Professor McGonagall had said, but he had an inkling that there was more to it, but he was too distracted by the task at hand to think about Animagus.
The most important thing now was to finish the homework and go for a late-night snack.
The quill was under Fish's control, scratching rapidly at the parchment, tracing a circle around the letters one by one.
Five minutes later...
"Minerva~" ?●ω●?
