2. Hiruzen, You Snooze You Lose!

After Senju Tobirama made his decision he went to intercept The Gold and Silver brothers.

Although the result was a little beyond his expectations, after all, he initially expected Hiruzen to seize the opportunity but who would have thought that Danzo would do it. It seems taking Danzo under his wing wasn't a wrong choice as he had learned something.

Tobirama will not be partial as he had provided the opportunity to both of them but Danzo had grasped it skillfully whereas Hiruzen was a little late resulting in his loss.

Of course, Danzo doesn't know about the drama happening inside Hiruzen's mind, and he is not going back to rescue Tobirama.

The reason he went back was that he remembered that during the fight with Tobirama the Gold and Silver brothers were injured and they had to leave behind the tools of the Sage of Six paths.

He came back for two reasons

First, to get the tools belonging to the Sage of Six paths

Second was to get the research done by Tobirama, and if possible to leave them to Danzo.
