After Eran and Enid left the royal prisoner's room, Dignus seemed unmoving in his place for a few minutes, as if hypnotized by the recent events.
"Sir..." one of the soldiers said with a trembling voice, trying to snap him out of the silence. "Prince Enid has gone," he said again, hoping his words would provide some comfort.
The soldier looked worriedly at his companion, and they both approached Dignus, who remained silent in the tense atmosphere.
Suddenly, Dignus tried to calm his choked breath. Assisted by two loyal soldiers, he attempted to stand up. The emptiness in his eyes was evident, reflecting the confusion and disappointment that overwhelmed his mind.
The two soldiers waited nervously, unsure of what their master would do. With slow movements, Dignus reached for the sword that was tucked into one of his soldiers' waists. He held it tightly, feeling the coldness of the metal in his hand.
