Chapter 263

This wasn't destined to be a wedding made of love and passion, it was purely political and they both knew that. Leoric has perhaps once loved Aeryn, or if it wasn't love then he definitely cared for her. Things may have took a drastic turn but he sure was disappointed by the wedding between Aeryn and Sir Dante Lucan. On his darkest days he would wake up from nightmares of his wife being taken by another man, and sometimes he would have dreams where he slit Dante's throat while tears warmed his eyes. 

He was jealous and he couldn't forget Aeryn easily. She was his first wife, and maybe his only love even though he never understood what love was. He wasn't raised on love but only survival. At such young age, he was forced to survive and he only experienced trauma in opposition to love.
