Chapter 150: Almost Freedom

I have torn bodies and blood scattered everywhere, and still, more will come if I stay here. The main goal is to rid Ryeker and the humans. But I cannot allow that. 

Ryker and the humans, along with Eve, had run away an hour ago. And I had to stop those we were after.

I gathered my strength and started to walk towards where I had left Caled with all the blood in me. As I walk away, I wipe my blood-dripping mouth using my right hand. Those I killed used to be my subordinates. They always called me when they needed me or without any particular reason. They were the family I wanted, but Hawwah made them turn against me against their will. If there is someone who has to pay for everything, that would be her. This overwhelming pain in my chest is like part of those full sides of my heart suddenly disappearing. They are my men, my people. And yet I was forced to kill them against my will.
