Damien put the dagger inside the drawer and closed it. Later, he removed his gloves and went to the washroom. After a while, when he came out, he saw the maidservant at the door.

"Your Highness, Prince Édouard wants to see you after dinner," the maidservant replied.

"Did the Prince come here in my absence?" Damien asked and walked up to the sofa chair. He picked up the water jar and the glass.

"It was Sir Charles, who delivered the message of Prince Édouard to see him in the study room," the maidservant answered.

Damien put the jar on the table after pouring the water for himself. "You can leave," he said and the maidservant left with her head low.

Damien drank the water and put the glass on the table. He settled on the sofa chair to relax and leaned his head back. Closing his eyes, he placed his hands on his lap, his fingers interlacing with each other.
