Chalrads of ruins suddenly shot into the air as the Monk unleashed his full strength upon Blake. The hall had been wrecked upon with half the walls torn apart and then, debris, piles of stone raining down, promising to crush the heads of its victim. The immolating impact of the Monk's strength pushed Blake apart and they actually disengaged. One of his spear had been destroyed by the Monk and he could do absolutely nothing about it. Evie and Tera on their own part were pushed away by the impact too. This time around to Blake's detriment, the Monk was trying to run from him. With half it's tentacles torn without any form of healing contradicting, the Monk was having another thoughts. If Blake absolutely was from the descendants of a War god, then there was no way he would be able to get away from his undulating melancholy. His killing intent had tripled misley and the Monk couldn't stand up to such divine prowess.
Its tentacles retreated first with his body following suite to retreat. But Blake didn't want the Monk gone at all, instead he charged powerfully at it with his [Dark Scion] and then without missing his target, the dark blade sliced his ribs and azure liquid oozed.
The Monk's eyes widened fratically. Blake fkexed his muscles and lunged forward with a powerful kick landing on the Monk's torso and his feet agumented by his soul making his strength to add beyond measures.
The Monk's side body tore off morbidly with guts and flesh revealing, reeking excessly with azure liquid.
The Monk gritted his teeth in pain, but screamed the moment he felt the sharp blade pierced hardly into his already open flesh.
By now, Evie and Tera were taking a break from the intense fight which was ongoing but much slower now.
Blood pooled the arena.
But the Monk still had more cards up his sleeves. Without warning, another tentacles shot out with bizzare speed and Blake was suddenly overwhelmed.
'No, I though I... damn!'
Blake had no time to think but dodge such dark attack and of course with his Reflexe ability and his [Legion Stale] which he summoned to agument his speed earlier on, he was able to dodge such fierce attack.
Blake paled the moment the same tentacles lunged by this time, his speed was palpable and using the Dark Scion, he chopped off the remaining tentacles without warning.
What a pity for it to have thought that he would be able to kill Blake in such a brutal state it was in.
Then, Blake stabbed!
Blood from the Monk shot up in quantum like a bizzare wave disturned by a raging tsnami and Blake was drenched in the Azure liquid.
'Finally...'
[You have slained a diety...]
Blake instantly choked.
'Monk was a... a diety?'
He was shocked.
'So it wasn't a human like them? So it wasn't an immortal too just like he thought. It was a diety?'
His eyes bulged.
'But... why was it demanding the blood of young slaves that seeks freedom?'
[You have almost reached the end of your trial... are you ready to become CrestFallen?...]
[I don't care for the answer though... You have been downed another artifact by the gods...]
Blake sighed seeing the scarlette weaves forming in front of him and then, after a while dark loins-like garmet landed flat on his out stretched arm.
"A garmet? What the heck?!"
Blake was speechless. All of these artifacts, what do they perform? Is the gods simply handing them down as decorations, or do they simply serve as something fetish? Blake was short of words.
True to his words, they really was a deep meaning to the artifacts. Some immortals would think that they were being rewarded for their kill but, these artifacts and weapons have a very different meaning in which the gods wants them to figure out and once they do, there maybe another form of rewards but these rewards are rare so it implies that only the lucky gets to see these awards.
Blake turned to Evie and Tera,
"is everyone safe?"
"Practically safe! I mean, they found a gateway."
Evie said and Blake's eyes widened.
"You mean, there's a gateway in this room?"
"Yeah, lets go in"
The trio darted into the room which was dimly lit by a single candle flame. Well, there was an Altar, but it was ruined.
And... looking at the gateway, it looked as if it would break down soon. Tera's eyes suddenly darkened.
"This wasn't how the room was when they first opened it."
She was sure of this.
Blake turned to her.
"This gateway looks like it would break anytime soon."
"Does this mean that, there is magic that preserves this room, and that once the magic goes away, everything fades and pass away?"
Evie asked leaving Blake and Tera speechless.
"What are we waiting for then... after you Tera."
Blake said.
The young lady with a silvery hair stepped on the pauldron which creaked a little.
The radiance itself emanating from the gateway didn't dim for a minute and when she stood calmly, the light dazzled around her and she was... gone.
Evie stared at Blake and finally walked over to the gateway and soon after, she was gone too.
But the moment she was gone, sparks started to brewer out of the gateway and some parts of it began to come off as pile of dust.
Blake's eyes widened.
'No...'
He ran and stood on the pauldron too, which looked like a gladiator and then after some minute, the light radiated around his body and soon, he saw himself in a dark void. The place was like a volatile entity to darkness. And twinkling stars sparkled around.
Blake realised that, he was suspended in the air and of course, to his realisation, this place looked almost like the endless abyss of the sky below, he made a fret.
[You rank is ascending...]
Blake sighed, looking around his surrounding. There were marking, carvings and handwritting he didn't understand and he tried to make out what they were.
In front of him, there was a velvety pulsing pressure bubbling and it looked like a rift between reality and the underworld groove. Basically, before he would be allowed to travel completely, his soul must have undergo the certain evolution and transformation it deserves so right now, his rank was ascending that when he summoned his status, he saw this...
Name: Blake Listerio
Attributes: Ascending...
Abilities: Evolving...
Victor Name: Counting...
Soul Emblem: Calculating...
Entittlement: Evolving...
Role: Ascending...
Trial: Freedom conquered.
Kills: [28/1000]
Blake sighed... This may take a while.
After a long hour, the Crane finally spoke again.
[Your status has been fully updated...]
[Your physical transformation is in progress...]
'Physical transformation? Great!'
Atleast, he would no longer become so deranged and out of shape. After this, he would be able to save Jotham. Finally! His stay in the Underworld groove was finally over. His luck was that he didn't get an evil entittlements. And after a while his transformation finally ended with a cooling sensation over taking his whole body. He had drown himself in thoughts in order for him not to feel such pain and luckily, his ordeal paid off.
[You have officially Ascended to a CrestFallen... You are free from the Underworld Groove...]
Immediately, the whole light began to swirrl mixting chaotically with the thick void and then, everything exploded and disappeared.
He was finally in Blackshire Town.
