Axe, Final Part

The first thing that Xu Yue did the moment she began focusing on her own cultivation was to go into her Sea of Consciousness and take a good look at her Dao Tree.

"It's grown quite a bit..." mumbled Xu Yue with a smile on her face.

Back when she had first gotten out of seclusion, and before she had her new daughter, Xu Yue's Dao Tree was just over 690,000 Li tall.

But right now, only a short amount of time later, Xu Yue's Dao Tree reached a size of over 720,000 Li, beyond Xu Yue's expectations as she did not spend a lot of time cultivating in the past few hundred years.

"I guess I shouldn't underestimate what spending some time relaxing can do..." mumbled Xu Yue as she stared at the tree.

But even so, Xu Yue was well aware that this growth that had happened was only this pronounced that's to her extended seclusion before it, as well as the hidden accumulation that seclusion gave Xu Yue.

A few moments later, Xu Yue sunk into her Boundless Dao, unaware of just how long this seclusion would take, and just how far it would take her.

...

As he stared at the incarnation in front of him, who was also examining him, Dai Jie couldn't help, but both feel sweat falling down his forehead, and also feel extremely happy.

Although Dai Jie's memories from his youth had long since been tucked away in a corner of his mind, the person in front of him, who had changed his fate back then, still lingered in Dai Jie's memories even to this day, causing him to bow.

"Junior Dai Jie pays respects to senior," said Dai Jie, causing a smile to appear on the female figure in front of him.

As she stared at Dai Jie, Xu Yue's incarnation couldn't help but faintly smile.

'Quite impressive, he's taken the Dao of Time further than I expected he would...' thought the incarnation as it waved his hand.

"You don't have to bow, the difference in our ages Is not as extreme as you might think," said Xu Yue as she continued investigating the cultivator.

If Xu Yue's real body was here, such a thing would not take more than a fraction of a second, sadly though, this incarnation knew that the main body would not want to be disturbed for something so minor, causing it to rely on its own strengths.

Hearing that, Dai Jie then slowly raised his head, but even so, an extremely respectful look was present on his face.

A few moments later, Xu Yue's incarnation finally got to the reason why she came to Dai Jie.

...

Whilst Xu Yue was busy with her seclusion, in another corner of the Three Thousand Regions, someone had returned to a very familiar location.

As he stared at the four graves in front of him, which read 'Qin Niu', 'Qin Yanyu', 'Qin Liqiu' and Qi Chen', Qin Song, who was currently holding a heavy coffin on his back, couldn't help but slightly bow.

After taking a few looks at the graves of his parents and grandparents, Qin Song, who had been silent up until now, took out his axe, which was currently emanating sadness, and chopped at a tree that was sitting right next to the graves.

Although Qin Song could chop the tree, as well as destroy this entire location in only a fraction of a second, the Axe Cultivator only used strength equivalent to a mortal as he chopped the tree, making this process take a few minutes.

After that, Qin Song uncharacteristically placed his axe to the side and began taking out the roots of the tree, making place for a new grave in this small graveyard of the 'Qin Family'.

As it stared at its master, who was currently even more silent than usual, the Axe Spirit, who would have usually become angry after being placed on the ground, couldn't help but become silent as it watched Qin Song dig the grave.

In under ten minutes, a fifth grave was dug next to the other four, making room for the coffin that Qin Song had carried to this place, causing him to take it off his back and gently place it into the grave before opening it.

As he stared at the old woman lying there peacefully in the coffin, having died a peaceful death of old age next to her Dao Companion, Qin Song who was silent up until now, finally spoke.

"Goodbye..." said Qin Song before closing the coffin once again, letting it rest peacefully before burying it.

After that, Qin Song finally took out two stone slabs out of his spatial ring.

...

"Brother Qin, we'll live like this till the end of our lives, you promise?" asked Xue Lanying as she stared at the beautiful snowy landscape in front of her whilst sitting in Qin Song's embrace.

"Um."

...

After a few moments, Qin Song finally placed the Stone Slab, which had 'Xue Lanying' written, into the ground in which the coffin had just been buried.

A few moments after that, Qin Song then took out the second stone slab, which did not have anything written on it, and picked up his axe.

In just a few moments, the name 'Qin Song' was carved into the slab, as the now nameless axe wielder then placed it into the ground next to the other graves, forming a line.

A few moments after that, the man placed his axe onto his back before letting out a faint sigh and taking a final look at the six graves in front of him as he sat onto a rock.

After silently staring at the graves for around five minutes, the axeman then wiped out the few tears that had stained his face and got up from the rock and walked away.

He would not be coming to this place ever again, the axeman was completely sure of it.
