CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Dan came home earlier than Carl. Carl wasn't still picking up his phone. Beth got worried. Dan was really surprised to see someone tied up in their living room. They sat in the dining room. Beth was losing her cool. She got up and walked up to the assassin. She grabbed him by the shirt

"If any of your people have gotten to Carl, I promise I would kill you before you can scream for help!"

"Let him go Beth" her aunt ordered

She grunted and let him go. A few minutes later, Carl drove in. He parked his car and came in. Beth ran to hug him

"Where the hell were you?"

"I was at an eatery. I went out with Grace. What's wrong and what the hell is that doing there?"

He asked as he pointed to the man, sitting on the chair, tied to it

"He was here to kill me," Beth said

"Fuck! Are you okay?"

"Yes, I am. Thanks to your sister"

"Brie?"

"Yeah, she came through for me even though she knew she could get killed"
