10. I want to train now

At the shadow Eclipse pack

Darren led the four people into the pack house followed by Leo and Logan. They all sat in the living room. "Did you find her here, alpha?" one of the women with long dark hair with red streaks asked.

"No," Darren answered, flatly.

"It would have been too easy if you found." One of the men with blue eyes and dark hair said.

"I was not expecting it to be easy. She wouldn't have given that as a solution if it were to be easy." Darren said, emotionlessly.

"We have to keep looking then." the second woman with purple said. "I wonder what she will look like."

"Don't get ahead of yourself, Lucinda." the first woman said to her sister Lucinda. "She might not even be a shifter."

"That is why I am expectant. Don't kill my vibes." Lucinda said. "I am expecting anything," she said enthusiastically.

From the side, Leo and Logan felt out of place. Who were the tea people who came in and acted like they owned the place not caring who else was present or not?

They looked at Darren questioningly. They could feel the power reeking off the two shifters. The aura was quite strong but they were not alphas. So who were they?

Darren felt their gaze he understood their question, he decided to introduce them to each other. He kept a blank face as he spoke. "As I told you two earlier, These are my brothers in arms, this is Mateo he is my beta," he said and pointed to his right.

"And this is Levi, my gamma," he said again and pointed to this man beside Mateo. "Those two over there are Lucinda and Lucy, they are twins and witches," Darren said, the two women gave sweet smiles to Leo and Logan as they were introduced.

"This here is my childhood friends, Logan and Leo," he said to the rest of the people.

"Nice to meet you guys," Lucinda said enthusiastically. "Alpha has told us a lot about you."

"It's nice to meet you too.". They said with stiff smiles. They have never been in the same room as a witch before but they were sitting with two of them. An awkward silence reigned between them.

"What happened at Crescent moon pack?" Darren asked breaking the silence. "I felt the bond with their alpha snap."

"The pack was ambushed n the middle of the night. Almost everyone was killed in the attack." Mateo said sitting upright to give the report. "Only a few women and children survived."

"Was it a rogue attack?" Darren asked.

"They were not just rogues." Levi chimed in." Vampires were included."

"We also suspect magic was used, which means that spell casters were also involved in it," Lucinda said.

"I think they were looking for something," Lucy said, she was as suspicious of that since she stepped into the pack. "Or someone, I am not sure."

"What or who do you think that they were looking for?" Darren asked. This was the first time he has heard that werewolves and vampires and witches ever worked together. Whatever or whoever it was must be important.

"I don't know alpha, but I think they did not succeed in getting it." Lucy replied." They hurriedly left after we got there."

"We found a dead body of a pregnant woman near the pack border and a few dead rogues around her. Her body was identified by the survivors that she belonged to the pack but her daughter was missing." Mateo said.

"Who killed the rogues?" Darren asked, " I am certain it was not the woman."

"We don't know that either, alpha. But we know that whoever killed them has her daughter." Mateo said. " Do you think she is the one they were looking for?" he suddenly asked.

Silence followed that question as no one knew how to answer it.

Leo and Logan sat by quietly and listened to all that they were saying, they didn't know how to digest that whole thing, it was just too much information to take in all at once.

********

Blood moon pack,

Lazarus and Ezra returned to the pack house and found Kora sitting outside staring at the sun with so much interest that they started wondering what was so special about it. The braids from moments ago were nowhere to be seen.

"Kora I want to speak with you," Lazarus said when he was close enough to her.

"Okay." She said and jumped off the bench that she was sitting on." What is it?" she said and stretched out her hand for him to hold.

"Let's get inside first," Lazarus said and took her hand.

"Did I do something wrong?" she asked tilting her head a little so she could look at his face.

"No," Lazarus replied. Kora nodded and followed him silently.

"So, what is it that you want to talk to me about?" Kora asked as soon as she was seated in the alpha's office.

"Why did you tell Dana that she will be hurt if she leaves the pack?" Lazarus asked. He wanted to know what made her say that and her reason behind it.

"I told her because I know she will get hurt." was all that Kora said to him. She has no other explanation or reason besides that.

"How?" Lazarus asked.

"I just know," she said.

"Did you also know that your pack will be attacked yesterday?" Lazarus asked again. Kora nodded at him and squinted his eyes at her. "If you did, did you tell any one about it?"

"Yes, but nobody wants to listen to me because I am small," Kora answered while pouting. "But my papa did, that was why he asked Mommy to take me away from the pack."

When Lazarus heard what she said, he didn't know what else to ask her or how to react. He knew that there was something special about this little girl but he did not know what it was and he still doesn't. Just what was she? Her parents were both shifters she couldn't be something else.

"Was that all you wanted to ask me?" Kora asked, she felt the conversation was a little too short.

"The next you feel like that again let me know, do you understand?" Lazarus asked.

"Yes, I know, I'll tell you," Kora answered.

"Tomorrow you start going to school here along with the other pups," Lazarus informed her.

"Can I train as a warrior too?" Kora asked, her eyes sparkling with stars in them.

"No, you can't," Lazarus said and started working.

"But I want to, why can't I? Are girls not allowed to train?" Kora was disappointed when her request got rejected.

"They are," Lazarus answered. "You are too young for that."

"But I want not to start now to train," she whined. "I promise I won't run away or complain about it."

Lazarus sighed and gave in to her request. She was different from the other pups. Besides the fact that she does not have a wolf yet, she has something special and he wants to know more about what she can do.

"Fine, you can start training as well but under Ezra directly. Lazarus said.

"Ezra will bully me."
