ABU AMBUSHED II

Abu created some distance between himself and this bandit who was giving him hard time. He raised the scimitar and swung down, feinted that he was striking the bandit on the head. The bandit raised his scimitar upward to block the strike. This is when Abu quickly reacted, changed the direction of the strike from the head to the exposed stomach area, he swung the scimitar. Seeing that the earlier strike was a feint, the bandit tried to evade it by stepping away, it was too late. The scimitar missed the stomach but connected with his ribcage, Abu added force to the scimitar before it cut through the ribs continuing into the right lung.

He pulled back the scimitar and blood oozed out of the rib wound of the bandit. The bandit was in shock and terrible pain from this strike, he dropped his guard to look at the bloody wound on his ribcage. This is when Abu leaped behind him and cut his neck in one fell swoop. The scimitar stopped when it connected with the neck bone. Blood oozed from the bandit's neck and splashed like a fountain as the bandit went down in the mud. Quickly, the brown mud was colored red from the blood spilling from the cut neck of the bandit.

Abu turned his attention to the remaining bandit whom he had kicked in the balls. This bandit was still on the muddy ground yelling in pain since it had not been more than five minutes since he was wounded.

Grasping the bloodied scimitar in both hands. He rushed to strike down this bandit before he was rescued by the other three approaching him from the opposite side.

As he approached the bandit, he tried to stand up on his feet to run away but his legs betrayed him, he fell back to the ground, screaming in pain. Since he could not stand, he began crawling on his back backward while not taking his eyes from Abu. Pain, fear, and despair filled his brown eyes as he tried to plead for mercy.

"Where was your mercy when you and your comrades attacked me?" Abu responded when he heard the bandits' plea for mercy.

"You guys ambushed the wrong person!" He shouted in anger.

"You guys ambushed the wrong person!" He shouted in anger.

"Please forgive, am sorry for attacking you, it was Buluhani's idea that we attack. Please don't kill me!" The bandit kept on pleading while not taking his eyes from Abu and the scimitar in his hand.

"Who's this Buluhani you are speaking about?" Abu asked as drew near the bandit and stepped on his chest with one leg, pinning the bandit in the mud, with no escape. He had initially wanted to kill this bandit nonetheless hearing that there was another party, he decided to delay the execution.

With a shaky tone, the bandit raised his head from the mud and pointed in opposite direction with his finger, from where they had come from running to ambush him. "Buluhani is our leader, he is hiding behind those rocks."

Thud!

An arrow came from the direction the bandit had been pointing in and stuck him in the back of the neck. He choked on the words he was planning to tell Abu to be spared.

"Foolish bandit, your brother Buluhani has spared your miserable life," Abu mocked the bandit as he removed his feet from the chest of this wounded bandit. There was no need for him to dirty his hands seeing that the arrow from the direction he was pointing had stuck him in a vulnerable location.

This annoyed Abu, this coward Buluhani or whatever was hiding behind there had robbed him of a clean kill. He was looking forward to seeing this bandit beg for his miserable life, spilling whatever secrets he had before he killed him.

Not to be let down.

The three bandits from the opposite direction were almost upon him. Abu stepped away from this wounded and dying bandit to meet these three.

Instead of waiting for them, Abu ran to face them head-on. He threw the scimitar in his hand to the bandit on the extreme left. This bandit was holding a club, the scimitar arched through the air as it swiftly raced to the bandit. The bandit raised his club to parry the thrown scimitar away. But the scimitar was too fast for him, it bounced off the edge of the club and impaled itself deep in his right shoulder. An arrow from behind, wheezed past Abu's right thigh, missing him by a skin's inch and landing in the mud ahead of the incoming bandits.

Abu changed direction instantly to make himself hard to target, he leaped amidst these bandits barehanded. They all rushed to strike him down with their weapons. One had a long spear, with a barbed spearhead and the other held a scimitar.

He dodged the scimitar by somersaulting out of its reach, the other bandit seeing that he had escaped their first strike, raised the spear in his right arm, and leaned back before throwing it with all the force he could muster towards Abu. Abu Bin Zayyid saw it coming toward him, he immediately calculated its trajectory in his mind on how to best evade it without any weapon. The spear was aimed towards his chest, he braced his feet on the ground and swiftly leaned back as if he was falling at an angle of more than thirty degrees. He saw the barbed spearhead hurtling towards him and imagined the gruesome damage it could do to him if he did not successfully evade it. He timed its' position in relation to his feet and kicked the handle behind the spearhead upwards with his right foot, deflecting its intended trajectory. The spear flew upwards at an angle of 90 degrees.

Abu rushed to straighten himself on his feet before he lost balance, having straightened himself, he leaped up, grabbed the spear before it fell to the ground, and parried away the attack from the bandit with the scimitar.

This bandit, seeing Abu leaning backward as if he was about to fall, thought that he was more vulnerable than ever and rushed to cut him down.

The spear had a long handle, this enabled Abu Bin Zayyid to parry away this bandit's attacks from a distance before getting the proper opportunity to attack back.

Seeing an opportunity, Abu pried away the scimitar from the hand of the bandit with the spear he was using, as the scimitar fell out of this bandit's arms. The spear handled by Abu Bin Zayyid headed towards the bandit, the barbed spearhead pierced through the vocal chord neck area of the bandit, it entered deep inside the soft neck tissue until was completely embedded inside, having achieved his target, Abu Bin Zayyid yanked the spear out with a lot of force. The barbed hooks on the spearhead pulled backward the neck muscles, ligaments, and skin before ripping it open in the most gruesome manner; blood sprayed out from the ruptured throat arteries, the bandit had a look of shock on his bearded face as he involuntarily threw the scimitar on the ground to hold the gaping neck wound with both hands. He couldn't even shout for help as he fell to the ground and passed out.

Abu laughed in a perverted way, the sight of all this blood energized him and gave him a lot of satisfaction. He now longed to kill more of these bandits.

Without wasting time. Abu turned to face the remaining two bandits.

The bandit who formerly held the spear was weaponless. Seeing what had happened to his colleague, he turned on his legs and began fleeing in the direction they had come from.

"Hahahaha, look at this pathetic coward running away!" He laughed at the sight of this fleeing bandit.

"Come on you too, am still waiting for you to join your colleague in running away." He mocked the remaining bandits.

"To hell with you son of a Jew, all of us are not cowards. Put down that spear and fight me like a man." The injured bandit whose shoulder had been impaled by the scimitar spoke up. By now he had pulled out the scimitar, leaving behind a bloody shoulder. He had tried tying a piece of cloth around it to stem the blood flow, the piece of cloth was turning red, he was the injured shoulder with one hand to adjust the piece of cloth stemming the blood flow while holding his club in the other hand.

Seeing this bandit putting on a brave face despite his injury, "is it you speaking or someone else?" Abu asked.

"Face me, bastard! It is me speaking." The wounded bandit roared back.

"Nah, you are already a dead dog, I can't waste my time with you. At least let this other coward who ran away knows a real man when he sees one." Abu Bin Zayyid continued mocking the bandit.

"I can kill you hundred times with my eyes blindfolded. Who cursed such a pathetic dead dog like you to become a highway bandit? I think it could have been much better if they cursed you, to be a whore to these Sodomite Christians." Abu continued mocking.

"Cursed be your mother, she is the one who was a Sodomite prostitute to the Christians, no proper Muslim man could love her that is why she produced such a wicked and beastly man such as you." The injured bandit insulted Abu Bin Zayyid where it mattered.

As if this was not enough, the bandit added, "am sure she mated with a pig to conceive you, have you looked at yourself properly? There's no difference between you and a pig wearing human flesh." The bandit added insult on insult.

Abu Bin Zayyid was annoyed and infuriated beyond measure, he grabbed the spear and pointed at the bandit, "Kess Ikhtak (fuck) your mother, sisters, and daughter!"

Hearing what Abu Bin Zayyid said, the bandit had a wicked smile as he adjusted the club in his hand before insulting and challenging him. "Ya Ibn el Sharmouta (son of a bitch) speak with your fist, not your ugly mouth."

"You will die for this, I will kill your mother, and sisters and defile your daughters I swear, castrate and slave your sons and other family members unless my name is not Abu Bin Zayyid!" Abu was incensed beyond measure.

"So what if your name is Abu Bin Zayyid? It can even be Abu the pig or Abu camel shit and I will not care even a small bit. Me, Zamilu son of Abdallah has never shied away from a challenge more so from a loudmouth like you." The bandit who called himself Zamilu pointed at Abu with his club.
