Trying Out the New Skill, Absolute Zero!

At the thought of Yu Guang, a rare smile appeared on Cui Anyu's cold face. This smile was like a blooming lily, with the dew on the petals reflecting the morning sun.

The people around the door opened their mouths at the same time. "Wow! She's so beautiful!"

This made Lucia stomp her feet in anger. 

One had to know that in the House of the Awakened, those who were more powerful than her were not as pretty as her, and those who were prettier than her... No! No one in this place was prettier than her, but now there was a girl who was as good-looking as her, and not only that, her level was even higher than hers. 

Who could stand it?!

They were going to be partners soon, so why was she blushing?!

Xie Heji clapped his hands to focus everyone's attention on himself. "Since Cui Anyu can find a partner, then this matter is settled. The team battle test will be held tomorrow afternoon. Now that the matter has been cleared up, let's end the discussion here."

"Okay." Cui Anyu nodded respectfully.

Le Tai walked to her side. According to the previous agreement, before she left the Awakened Home, he would accompany her.

When Lucia saw that the two men were nice to Cui Anyu, she became even more displeased with her. Just being in the same space with Cui Anyu made her extremely angry. Her eyes were as sharp as blades. She snorted contemptuously, raised her proud head, pushed open the door, and walked out.

Since the situation of the team battle test had been explained clearly, Cui Anyu confirmed that she would join the Awakened Home. There was no need for her to stay any longer.

The only thing she wanted to do now was to go back to school and tell Yu Guang the good news. Maybe they could even come up with a battle plan. 

However, she didn't know that Yu Guang wasn't in school at the moment.

Yu Guang counted to ten with his fingers. The water that was not frozen upstream slowly flowed down along the icicles, making a gurgling sound.

He snapped his fingers again, and the ice layer was quickly dissolved. The rumbling sound of the water echoed through the river valley again, covering the surprised chirping of the birds.

"The strength and range are okay." Yu Guang stared at his hands and memorized the data obtained from the experiment. "Let's try the accuracy again."

With his hands behind his back, he lightly stomped on the ground. The water flow was sensed by him, and the water droplets that popped out of the water surface quickly elongated and became thin, floating in the air.

The water droplets of different sizes turned into more than ten ice needles and ice arrows. Yu Guang's eyes were pale blue. He stared at the other side of the river for a while, then finally found a suitable target. He softly chanted, "Go!"

The ice needles and ice arrows were like galloping horses as they fiercely nailed the big tree on the opposite side, making a muffled sound of digging.

Yu Guang covered his eyes with one hand and looked at the opposite bank. "The aim is not bad either."

On the opposite tree, the tip of the ice arrow hit the wing of a mung bean fly. The rest of the ice needles were nailed to the wings of the ice arrow, forming a perfect circle. The cold air that was emitted made the originally lively mung bean fly dizzy. It lifted its leg that was like a small stick and passed out from the cold. By the time the ice arrow completely melted, the fly should have already passed away.

The newly developed Absolute Zero was really not bad. It could be used for both offense and defense.

Yu Guang looked at the cold air surrounding his hand. An abundant amount of energy was flowing through his body. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in satisfaction, enjoying the pleasure brought by this energy.

He walked to the water's edge and stepped into the river with one foot. An ice surface was formed around the foot, and the icicle that supported it extended all the way to the bottom of the water. An unlucky fish's tail was frozen by the ice, and it struggled weakly twice.

Yu Guang smiled as he watched the little fish wriggle its body in vain. He found it interesting. The matter of returning to school was completely thrown to the back of his mind.

Meanwhile, Cui Anyu, who was rushing back to school, was met with disappointment. She stared at the empty desk next to her with resentment.

The new teacher on the podium was a short and thin old man with the surname Zhou. He was slowly introducing himself.

The rumor of her getting pregnant had only spread yesterday, and today, he was running away like a coward. It was really annoying.

To prove that what he said was true, he turned sideways so that Mr. Zhou could see more clearly.
