Judith saw wolves shifting.

Two minutes passed before she finally opened her eyes.

She had previously unconsciously turned off all sounds in the area, even the wolves.

She was more surprised than she had anticipated when she opened her eyes. Unexpectedly, a third wolf larger than the first two together appeared.

This one appeared to be fighting the two wolves by itself, and it was more enraged.

It was golden in color and glistened with strength, and Judith thought it appeared stunning.

When that happened, she realized what was happening:

'Wolves are pursuing me, and they're doing it in my own house. Most likely, the same wolves that killed the private investigator I hired to watch over my husband.

They almost killed me as well, but a bigger one suddenly appeared, erupting with rage, and saved me. Alternatively, he might want to eat me by itself after killing the other two.' Judith reminded herself of what was happening.

Although her legs had firmly planted on the earth, she desperately wanted to flee.

The grey wolf was violently picked up and shaken by the golden wolf, whose fangs sank deep inside its neck.

The dark blue wolf charged and nipped the golden wolf's leg as the grey one groaned one more time. The golden wolf released its grip on the grey wolf's neck as its furs fell to the ground.

The grey wolf ran toward the golden one while the dark blue wolf leaped across them to Judith, each slowly creeping backward and studying their prey.

She made an unsettling noise once more, which caused the other wolves to turn to face her.

She was drenched in sweat as she watched them approach. She shook on the ground as her muscles clenched.

The golden wolf immediately approached them and threw the wolves away from her.

Their approach only seemed to have angered the wolf fighting them off the more, since with the most speed,  it took one of the wolves in between its legs,  gnashing its teeth on the neck one more time, and this time around, its fangs came out dripping with blood.

Soon after, Judith witnessed one of the wolves tumbling to the ground and screaming inaudibly.

It got encircled by its blood.

More surprising than the scene that had been playing before her the entire time was what came next. The dying wolf transformed into a person.

Maybe all that happened was a nightmare.

Perhaps the images she saw from her coworker caused her to imagine such vivid hallucinations.

Perhaps she never left her workplace and was still there; if so, she would be awake in a few minutes.

Judith was more than terrified. She shed more tears than she ever had in her entire life combined.

The grey wolf collapsed to the ground and changed into a person, just like the first wolf. They were both completely naked, with their asses up and their palms flat against the floor.

Even in their human forms, their fangs dug into their tongues as they were left exposed and in contact with the ground.

She vigorously shook her head while holding it between her palms as if to rouse herself up.

Before she could react, the final wolf turned and began to hobble slowly toward her.

She ought to be terrified of that, but for some strange reason, she only wanted to hold it and tend to its wounds. She was losing her mind.

Unquestionably, she must be.

She wanted to do it, but her gut reaction scared her, so she scampered away. She could see the wolf's eyes were in pain as it bowed its head to hide its face.

Then, as it rotated violently, it dropped to its knees and screamed, its snarl singing horribly into her ears.

The sound of bones breaking was audible, and its palms simultaneously and brutally struck the earth.

It cried out in agony as its furry shoulders and legs changed into those of a human being. The final modification was to its head.

Her husband appeared before her shortly after, wounded, and also fell to the ground nude.

She was unable to withstand the shock at this time. She also hit the ground at that point and eventually passed out.
