Despite his asking me to never leave his side, he never returned to mine. Instead, Faye, Ethan's mate, Felix, and Cass stuck to me like glue.

Three weeks passed before I could not put up with it any longer.

I knew he was doing something for his father, I knew he had to leave without saying goodbye, and I knew he had no choice since he wanted to play his role.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that he was hiding from me.

Something was wrong, I felt it deep in my bones. Yet whenever I asked for an update from Felix or Cass they deflected. 

Today the king was forcing me to see the royal Shaman, it was also my first time outside these palace gates since Lorenzo left. 

"Do I really have to go? We already know I'm pregnant and fine," I hesitated at the entrance, both Felix and Cass by my side.
