Chapter 288 | You Bet!

"Let's talk about your next project… What is it? C'mon! Give us something!" Bob asked and looked at the crowd who was anticipating the same thing.

It was always the same if not slightly different for Ian. Whenever he finished one project, although the aftermath was still ongoing, people would expect him to reveal a bit about his next project, or talk about it.

They all wanted to know what Ian was up to, and what his next move would be.

Ian chuckled as the spotlight was put on him. The crowd was silent, and so was Bob. It was almost as if a million eyes were on him.

"Well, I wouldn't say that I've got a lot into the future planned. However, I'd like to say that, what Í've in mind is quite exciting!"

Everyone in the audience clapped including Bob, who looked too thrilled to hear what Ian was saying.

"Oh wow!!! Guys! Something exciting Ian is saying! What could it be? Give us a tease! A new book?! Something…. More exciting?!" Bob kept on asking.

The cameras fell onto Bob's face. His eyes wide open, mouth slightly parted, a tilted head, made it obvious that he was waiting for his response.

"Yes, something more exciting for sure."

"Ah! Ian!" Bob clutched his heart for dramatic effect. "Ian! Is it something similar to Inception?! Because lords have mercy when the awards are getting closer, you're getting all the awards for another banger! This is great news… Ian everyone!"

Bob shifted the focus and everyone clapped, running along in his direction, as he was the host.

"Ian… It has been three hours since we started the show now, I'm afraid this is where we part ways!" Bob said and stood up.

He walked around, to sit in the hand of Ian's chair.

"It had been a wonderful time, Bob! I'm pretty sure the world enjoyed every part of today's show. Especially now that I was here!" he said and smiled, looking at Bob.

"Ah, the confidence! What is not to like in this man! I've a small request before you go," he said and looked at Ian once again.

During the show, Bob had gone ahead and requested plenty of things from Ian. At first, it was simply Ian talking about his very first project, Home Alone. He requested for him to talk the entire story through it.

Then the requests escalated from simple stories to Ian singing songs including City of Stars and covering two other artists.

Nevertheless, it was a win-win for both parties, and Ian personally enjoyed the entertaining process.

What more would this guy have to ask?

"Go ahead…"

"It's a given that you're here, in Mr Bob's live show, where many famous people, celebrities spill so many tears! I don't know if you know, but Ryan Gosling was here the other day and the things he revealed… Ah! Just magical!" Bob said.

Ian chuckled, "You sure have a way with words on your own, don't you?"

"Sure do!"

"I watched the entire interview... Haha! What did you have to request from me?" Ian asked again.

"Talking about spilling the beans to the world, I'd love it if you could give a word of advice for all the struggling artists out there, Ian. You're not a director, but an actor, songwriter, author… This guy is… Just wow!"

"Ahaha… Well, One good piece of advice for artists from a director like me would be to stay true to your own unique style and vision. It can be easy to get caught up in trying to please others or emulate popular trends, but ultimately, it is the artist's unique perspective that will set their work apart and make it stand out. As for me, I've done nothing, but create things that are uniquely mine. So, it applies the same to you all.

"And most importantly, trust your instincts and not be afraid to take risks and try new things. As a director, I can provide guidance and feedback, but ultimately, it is your personal expression that should shine through in your work.

"And I'd also love to remind all the artists to be patient with yourselves and your creative process. It can take time to develop skills and find one's own voice, but with persistence and dedication, great things can be achieved. So, be patient.

"Lastly, I'm here to encourage artists to seek out and collaborate with others in their field. Working with other creative individuals can not only provide new perspectives and inspiration but can also lead to exciting new opportunities and projects. So, go for it! Don't hold back thinking it's your work, it's yours… go ahead and try experiencing…" Ian said and the crowd clapped for the millionth time of the day.

"That's truly inspiring! And with that, the night is coming to an end, I'm afraid. But everyone, including me, had a lot of time to learn so many great things from Ian! Thank you so much!"

As the live show of Mr Bob drew to a close, the audience applauded and cheered, showing their appreciation for the host and the guests.

The guest of the night, Ian Renner, stood up from his seat, to say his goodbyes.

"Thanks again for having me on the show, Mr Bob," Ian said, smiling at the host. "It's been a real pleasure."

"Likewise, Ian," Mr Bob replied. "It's always great to have such talented guests on the show."

Ian turned to face the audience. "And thank you to all of you for tuning in tonight. I hope you enjoyed our discussion and learned something new."

The audience cheered and clapped once more, some of them standing up from their seats.

"And with that, we have come to the end of tonight's show," Mr Bob said, wrapping up the episode. "We hope you'll tune in again next week for more exciting guests and engaging discussions."

The cameras zoomed out to show the entire set, revealing the backstage crew taking a final bow, and the lights dimmed as the show came to a close.

Ian waved goodbye to Mr Bob and the audience before making his way backstage, feeling a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment from his appearance on the live show.

After the show ended, the first thing he did was to get home.

He walked inside the mansion with not so many hopes. The mansion, according to him at first, could be quite lonely. But, his advantage was that the mansion was 'lonely'.

The mansion was his home where he was able to make creativity his God when no one else was there.

He let his thoughts control his actions, and let creativity take him over whenever he was troubled, whenever he thought he needed his next step.

But walking inside, he realised how things have changed.

It was not only him anymore, but there was one other woman who came home thinking that it was her home, where she and Ian lived.

It was Raelynn.

"I just started to like you more when you're on the TV!" she said as soon as Ian walked inside.

"How was your day?" he asked her, who looked at Ian through her long lashes.

"Ah, it was good. Although tomorrow, we might have to hold a meeting about Niko. Dude pulled off something that I thought he wouldn't. It was wrong of him, Maxim was pissed."

Ian nodded.

"I'll talk to him, no need for meetings. And remember what we talked about? No work after we enter the mansion?"

"Yeah. We have a lot to catch up on though, there are several places we'd like your focus."

Ian smiled knowing the woman was too into work, that they'd been without each other for a while.

"Okay, let's talk a lot more. But-"

"Hm, what's the catch?" she asked back.

"Forget about work, come join me upstairs…"

Rae's eyes clouded with desire as she looked at the guy who she had been admiring for hours through the screen of the television.

"Ah, I see. And why would that be? Are we going to… plan world domination?"

Ian smirked looking at Rae, whose eyes looked as if she could take him then and there. She was showing the fire, wild side of her, and that was something he admired in bed a lot.

"You've no idea. Why not see for yourself?"

"You bet."
