Downhill Clash [3/4]

Less than a thousand metres away.

The main gate into GCU was opened, It was the outermost gate, so that meant it was still someways inside before they reached the palace-like school grounds.

However, this was still technically GCU premises.

Around 3000 students stood outside the gate lined up in their own grades. They stood at attention in several different lines. Together they all faced a podium where the induction ceremony would begin.

However, the teachers along with the Principal hadn't said anything for the past 5 minutes. The time was already late and they had been waiting for a few more students to arrive so they could begin.

Furthermore, they even mentioned students being expelled for coming last, yet still, they were still slow enough to take this long. It was unheard of and if it went on any longer, it would be a stain on the GCU name.

"How long will could it take some student to finish a damn fitness Trial. It's barely 5 Miles!"

An over-aged man, who looked past his sixties couldn't help but mock in disdain. His thick brown beard was twisted in a braid that fell to his chest. He had a grumpy expression naturally and had creases between his eyes.

He had a short stature which bulging muscles that filled his teacher uniform, which was filled with badges he wore proudly.

Another teacher shared the same sentiment.

"Ronnen gets it, who the hell are the student that haven't been back yet? Have Horun tell us what's going on?"

Her hair was crystal blue with eyes and clear as the ocean. She never took nonsense lightly and the situation before her made her raise an eyebrow.

Mister Ronnen and Cila were the first to voice their concerns. They were the most impatient out of all the teachers. In all, there were six teachers, including Alice, along with the Principal

From the outside, a number of students walked into the premises from outside. It was Horun and other students who acted as guards that finally came up with some kind of answer.

With them were other students who all seemed to carry injuries. These were Vanessa, Forsen and Cila.

Vanessa was being held up by a few other students, along with Forsen who was being carried on a gurney. Cila was the only one that was able to talk on her own.

"Sir, we were able to rescue these students. We deemed them unable to finish the trial and escorted them here." Horun declared to the teachers who were now a few metres away.

"Can you lot not finish a simply Trial without getting your asses beat!" Ronnen yelled like he always does, there were already words he spoke without doing this.

Cila plugged her ear with a finger, to save her ear from his voice.

"Shouting won't help anything. Someone get those students some medical attention and have them tell us what happened." Cilla made the most logical choices. "How many students are still out"

"Four mam, Their names are-"

"I didn't ask for names. One of the reasons for being an invigilator is to make sure things like this never happen. So what's your excuse…" Cila cut his explanation off.

"No excuses mam, those students seemed to have a bit of a little falling out. They should be here soon." Horun reported calmly. It was actually his intention to go after them but it was the same if they were to finish the trial by themselves.

Horun had spent a great deal of time watching for amusement. It was only when other students advised him to help those who were left behind did he remember his duty. He was too busy enjoying the coverage from the drone.

"It seems that you're rather incompetent for someone held to such high regard. Maybe this sort of thing is too much for you." Alice's comment managed to turn their head. Some were thinking the same thing, however, they held their tongues.

"Forgive me, Ms Alice, it's in a student's nature to be competitive." Horun defended himself.

"Hm, your right, I guess... but why the sudden formality. I thought referred to me as Alice? "

Horun's face looked surprised, followed by a hint of guilt. His classmate who warned him against calling her by her name was also speechless.

Horun was from an Apex family and taking too much of a loss in public wouldn't be good for his family. He couldn't speak to defend himself, yet he never wanted to apologize, in silence, he hoped she forget about it, yet she continued looking at him as if expecting something.

'Dam is she really gonna be this serious?' Horun was starting to get put into an awkward situation.

"I'm sorr-"

"I'm sorry Ms Alice, It will never happen again." A classmate apologized before Horun could.

"I don't get what's happening here, How long will we have to wait on these kids!" Ronnen spoke once more, showing his inability to lower his voice.

"We shouldn't have to wait much longer, we can see them from here." Alice pointed in the direction of the mountain ridge where some teachers have already begun looking.

Ronnen looked to have bad eye-sight since he scrunch his brows aggressively. Others with decent eye sigh could see 4 figures moving at admirable speed. It never took any time to see that the sides were at odds.

Now even some of the students tried looking but saw nothing since they were not on the podium.

Junya was surprised himself when he saw Wenji's super-secret ability. His grin was more arrogant than what he wore before and he cursed Jack every second he had the chance which was followed by him getting punched into a slob and then being healed back up.

'I guess everyone has their own little tricks. Sadly I can't use mine that well, It uses me'

He took a look back around, Creig was already coming down on him. He had enough time to think of a plan, yet he couldn't think much of it.

He never had any experience of outwitting someone with a blessing. So he would be going to the fight half-blind.'

[Name: Junya Wotanbe]

Level: 5

Elo: 130/150

Blessing: Fallen Slaughter (Angel)

Ability: Asura Step(Beginner) | Demon Crash (Beginner)

—----------------------------------

Junya finally looked back to his Elo command and looked over his progress. It was almost guaranteed that Creig also had an ability, still, he could only think of matching it with his own ability to hold him off.

Demon Crash was an ability that was too strong for his current body. He remembered the explanation from Alice about his body being too weak to use it normally. Demon Crash contributed to his constant fatigue even after he rested, so he was standoffish about making use of it now.

With Creig above him, he grabbed the hilt of his sabre.
