Arabella's POV
"Hi, mom, how are you today?" I softly asked my mother the moment I got back to the ICU on the following day. I was hoping my mom would reply, and I could hear her lovely voice once again because I missed talking with her. I could tell the doctor was right. My mom looked better than yesterday.
Her face has more color now; she doesn't look so pale. When I touched her hand and caressed her arm, I felt glad she felt warm but not hot; I could tell she didn't have a fever.
The days passed in a blur, and I stayed with my mom at the hospital since I couldn't rest or sleep knowing she was lying on the hospital bed while I was in my hotel room. I didn't check out of my room, and I went back to the hotel to take a bath and change my clothes.
Then, one day I decided to check out from the five-star hotel where I check-in to transfer to a much cheaper hotel near the hospital so it would be easier for me to come back and forth and save money.
