Can't Wait

Tyler's POV

I felt worried when I saw Matthew's car park in front of Arabella's house, and I couldn't stop myself from feeling so possessive of Ara. I know that I should control myself, but there is no way I can since I became so drawn to her.

I parked my car in a hurry, and I ran inside her house; and I no longer cared if I got inside right away without knocking on her front door. My anger boiled when I saw Matt pinning Ara on the wall while I could hear my girl begging him to let her go.

I shouted at Matt right away, and I told him to let Arabella go, and when he looked at me, his face was so red because of his outrage towards me. And I could tell that he was also furious about me. I felt glad he let go of Ara from his hold, and he faced me.

"Don't you ever dare threaten me, Ty, I know your reputation, and I am sure she will only be your flavor of the month, and you will only hurt Arabella." He said sternly, and I laughed while moving closer to my girl.

I know it was funny of me to call her mine, but seeing Matt trying to win her back made me feel the need to protect her. I only spent a little time with Arabella, but it feels like I have known her for a long while now, and I can't deny the attraction I felt toward her.

"Watch out your tongue Hydenson, and don't forget you were the one who cheated on her, and what kind of reputation do you have?" I asked as I controlled myself.

"For your information, I have never done something like that in my entire life. Girls throw themselves at me, but I never made any sweet promises to them." I added as I looked at his face.

"They may call me the heartbreaker, but most didn't know the real me. And you are one of those people, and you have no right to judge me because I never cheated as you did." I added, and he moved closer to me and threw punches at me.

But I circumvented his attack that he went straight to the wall and hit his face, and I tried my best to keep myself from laughing, but I could see the worried look on Ara's face.

"Damn you, Tyler." Matt hissed as he massaged his face, and his eyes darkened as he stared at me.

"We are not done, Ara. I will do everything I can to have you back." He retorted.

"Matt, I think you should stop bothering Ara. Can't you see we are together now? I am his boyfriend, and you have no right to barge here anytime you want because you can be charged trespassing, and I will never hesitate to file a harassment case if ever you will get near Ara ever again." I said, and he laughed sarcastically.

"And who are you to tell me that? I don't believe you are Ara's boyfriend. She is in love with me, Ty, and I am the only man in her life. She can't love someone like you." He snarled, and I was about to counter him when I heard Arabella's sweet voice.

"Matt, you have to listen to Ty since everything he had said was true. You have nothing to return to because what we had was over, and Tyler is now my boyfriend." Ara declared, and I felt glad she could find her voice and face Matthew without fear.

"The day you cheated on me and decided to make my sister your girlfriend, you let me go. You could have at least texted me. I trusted you with all my heart, and I was such a fool for believing in you that you love me because if you do, you will never betray me with my elder sister." Ara added, and Matt's face fell.

"I love you, Ara. Please tell me what to do so I can have your love back." He pleaded, but Ara shook her head.

"No, Matt, there is nothing you can do to change my mind; you can never erase the image I have in my mind; you were lying beside my sister in your bed." She softly said, and I could feel the pain in her voice she was trying to hide.

"No one in her right mind will accept her boyfriend after discovering he is cheating with his sister. What you did was you forgivable." Arabella stated, and I took her hand, and I intertwined my fingers with hers, and Matthew's face paled as he realized we were not joking.

"You better get back with me than making Tyler your boyfriend, Ara. He will only toy with your heart." He said.

"Don't say something like that, Matt. You are not clean, and you are the worst." Ara said, and I am so proud of her, as she stared at Matt in the eyes.

"Please get out, Matthew. You better go back to your house since my sister was waiting for you. You made your choice on the day you cheated on me." Ara firmly said.

"Remember this, Arabella, I will never give up on you. I will do everything I can to win you back." Matt said before he turned his heels and walked out of the house.

We heard the screeching of the tires of his car as he drove away while Ara cried, and I realized she was only holding her tears because she didn't want to look pathetic in front of Matt.

I pulled her closer to me, and I let her cry on my chest; I felt glad Ara didn't push me away, and she embraced me back, and I can't deny it felt so good to have her in my arms.

I caressed her back while she continued to sob, and there were no words that came out of my mouth because I didn't know how to comfort her. I let Arabella cry until her tears subsided.

"I am sorry. Seeing Matthew reminds me of all the sweet memories I have with him. And now that he cheated on me, sadness enveloped the beautiful memories with him. And I couldn't believe until now that my sister had wanted my boyfriend ever since I met Matt." Ara declared.

"You don't need to say sorry to me, Ara," I replied.

"I am a mess right now, Ty. And it would help if you didn't see me like this. I looked so pathetic, and I didn't want to cry anymore, but the aftereffect of their betrayal had just sunk in. I thought I was okay, but I was wrong. Maybe because Matt cheated on me with my sister." She responded.

"Ara, you will always be beautiful in my eyes," I said, smiling, and she looked so adorable as I saw her blush.

"I think the pain will be the same whether Matt cheated on you with your sister or with another girl, but I understand it would be harder on your part to forget Matt, or shall I say, every time you will see your sister, you will be reminded that they both cheated on you," I whispered in her ear.

"I know no words can alleviate the pain you have right now, but believe me, it will pass," I added, and she weakly smiled at me.

"Is that based on your own experience?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Yeah," I said, and I know she waited for me to continue, but I can't share with Ara my heartaches because today is all about her, and I want to help her forget everything.

"Lucy didn't inform me she liked Matthew. I know they became friends first, and when Lucy introduced me to him, I know on that day, Matthew showed his interest in me right away." Ara said.

"Matt asked to have a date with him the following day after we've met, and Lucy remained silent, and if I had only known she wanted him, I would never go on a date with Matthew." She added as we sat down on the sofa.

"Cry all you want, Ara, and you better release all the negative feelings for Matt, all the pains, resentment, regrets, and even your anger. And I want you to know I will always be here to listen. And when you are ready, that is the time we should leave." I said as I continued to massage her hand.

"I am okay now, Ty. We need to leave now, or my mom will wonder why I haven't gotten there yet. I promised to work on the shop today since she will go to Sapphire today to buy some seashells." Ara said, and she pulled me up with her; I wanted to spin her around and kiss her before we left, but I am not that insensitive; I know Arabella is still hurting, and I don't want to add to her burden.

For now, all I can do is be with Arabella, and I want to give her support. Being with her makes me so happy, and I love spending time with her. Just watching her beautiful face is enough to make me smile.

I don't know why I felt this way towards her; maybe it was because the first time I saw her crying at the harbor, I promised to stop her tears even if she was a stranger; and she captivated me beyond words.

"Are you sure? You don't want to cry anymore?" I asked, and she gave me her beautiful smile while she was shaking her, and I felt relieved she looked fine now as we walked to my car.

"Thank you, Ty. I know what you have done to me was too much already, and now you came just on time. You saved me again." Ara said as we drove away from her house.

"Don't mention it, Ara. I already told you I am willing to be your boyfriend. It is all up to you." I said, and I looked at her sideways; I don't know what she was thinking right now, but I wish she would consider having me as her boyfriend because I can't wait to make her my girlfriend. After all, I am so excited to kiss her again.
