Fraud Rumors

"I am Narcester Thaddeus's father-in-law," Vargas claims.

Early the day, Vargas was irked after hearing the news about the sudden rocket launching of Klein Entertainment. It was rather bothersome how that geezer finally got his way back up second. Immediately, he rumored a different spice so that, same as Lanxter, he can use Narcester's name for his corporation.

The press conference gathered after he made that one specific comment.

"Mr. Vargas, is what you say is true?" the reporter asked in the conference which is happening in the meanwhile.

"Indeed, it is. I am currently preparing for a wedding between my daughter and Mr. Thaddeus. The lovebirds will be married and the news about Ms. Klein being married to Mr. Thaddeus is fake to its greatest extent." he proudly said.

Narcester was staring at her as she gracefully hovered on the white sands of the beach. Dana meanwhile was browsing through her phone and saw that ridiculous scene.

She pushed herself up to stand from her seat and immediately looked for her brother. Fortunately, she found him standing, adoring the masterpiece that he was gladly staring at.

Dana sighed and approached him. She tapped his shoulders, he turned around and saw Dana's heavy eyes.

"Why don't you just go to her? Don't you ever get tired of starting at Avie? You look like a creep, you know." she said, her arms crossed.

"Angels love the sunlight and you know how demons hate it."

"Eurgh! What's with that? Are you trying to be a poet? Geez!"

He averted his eyes back at her and Dana looked very much exasperated. "Geez, do you have an obsession with German women? I came to talk to you about a matter so listen."

She scratched her head. Narcester slowly looked at her and stole one glance at her.

"Vargas is using your name, he's planning on advancing the idea of marrying Felicity."

Dana handed him her phone, it was clear in his words that he was using his daughter as a way to reason out and use Narcester for clout.

Narcester just shrugged his shoulders and approached Avyanna. Dana witnessed him smiling so widely, that he held her waist and hugged her. Dana smirked and whispered to herself.

"Let's not stir a mess for this once, he's home and she's his rest." she smiled.

She walked away, "Let's leave this for tomorrow and let you handle this when the sun comes."

He wrapped his arms around her slender body and kissed her forehead as his routine every home return. Avyanna smiled and pushed herself away. "You've been too clingy these days, aren't you? We aren't even a thing."

She said, sauntering away from him.

"Then would you want to be?" he asked straightforwardly.

Though she thought it was just a joke, she giggled and answered with sarcasm. "Are you even willing to?"

"Would I have kissed you back then if I'm not willing to make you mine?"

Avyanna flushed remembering that it was more than one kiss she recollected. She looked back at him, that serious eyes made her body chill. Firstly it was the thought of him being sarcastic. She thought, who would be serious about a woman like her?

A woman like her of mostly insecurities, a broken glass that was shattered. No hope of being back in pieces and even being a masterpiece to call. But her eyes glistened out of control, she felt threads of emotion rush flow through her. Somehow, his words reached her like a rescue team.

He noticed her baffled expression, she must've been stuck in between unexplainable feelings. He smiled and reached his hand out to her.

"Shall we go home, my little mimosa pudica?"

"Mimosa pudica?" she asked. Hesitating to reach her hands out to him.

"A flower so sensitive that when you touch it, she shies away and hides who fears the crowd but blooms expectedly beautiful. Such as you are."

The wind blew on them. There he goes again, filling his words and coating them with sugar. How can she possibly not shy away after hearing these endless praises every day?

"I know you have a hard time accepting compliments, but I want to tell you how I honestly feel about you."

Avyanna couldn't answer, she was cornered by her tongue and was unable to speak. What would she say after such a touching compliment? A thank you would not be enough to show him her appreciation and gratitude.

"Shall we go home?"

His hands still reaching out to her, she reached back to him and stopped for a while before resting her hands in his palms. Avyanna bid goodbye to the staff, Narcester, and drove them home. Dana, who was drunk, eventually ended up crashing into their house.

"Dana...Dana...Dana! You moron!" Narcester called to his sister who's been indulging in her drunken state.

"Sober up, woman!" he said and pushed her with less strength on his hand, signing his care for her. He ended up bringing her to her old room and laid her down on the bed.

"Geez! You reek of alcohol!" he scratched his head. Avyanna slowly entered, she looked at Dana who was muttering and giggling.

"I will take care of Dana, please rest." she politely spoke, her sweet voice soothed the ears.

Narcester smiled and ruffled her hair. "Then, I leave my sister to you." he left and went to his room.

Dripped in sweat and the stench of liquor, Avyanna successfully tended Dana and went her way to the bathroom.

She caressed her hair while water from the showerhead plummeted on her hair. After her late-night shower, Avyanna tucked herself into bed andintolept through the remaining hours of the peaceful evening.

As she awoke, she found a folded paper on her bedside. She recognized the scented paper and gave a soft smile. She opened it and saw beautiful handwriting with Narcester's signature in the bottom right corner. It is a note that successfully made her happy.

"Avie, you're a beautiful masterpiece." was written on the paper.

She giggled and her smile clung to her even though time passed. She looked at the paper for an estimated ten minutes until she placed it down and kept it in her drawer.

She went out of her room and down the stairs as she saw Dana lying on the couch, massaging her head. "Ughh! It hurts! This headache!" she complained.

Avyanna went to the kitchen, she looked over to the refrigerator, and took out a fruit juice. She went outside once again and handed it to Dana. "Here, I heard it can help with hangovers."

Dana slowly got up from the couch and twisted the cap, drinking the juice. Meanwhile the peace in his house, Narcester is facing a conference for the press. Stating against Vargas's lies.

"Are Mr. Vargas's words true?" the reported airport is sorry to disappoint your gullible minds, unfortunately, for you easily fooled morons, I am not marrying Felicity Vargas for we are not engaged. I ever do not plan on marrying that woman nor have I ever interested myself in investing in their company. I will no longer incest in V.Corp. The statement Mr. Vargas left for you to believe in is all but lies for he is highly delusional. And yes, I am married to Mr. Klein's daughter but as soon as he starts to fly south, I will definitely invest out and shall never reinvest. The woman I am with will be the woman I will cherish until I am able and allowed to. I hope that you understand my statement. I will leave." he left instantly as Myrto followed.

The press didn't like the way he conveyed his statement for it was rather unprofessional for the President figure of the Entertainment industry. Myrto noticed their voices before leaving, before he could say a word, Narcester raised his hand and smirked.

"Let them talk, their words never stung." he snickered and walked faster.
