He looked back in the direction of the prison as he touched back down on the floor. Although he couldn't quite see anything just yet, he could hear them. They were numerous, and they were coming for him.

A few hundred metres, at most a kilometre. That was all of the distance that he had to cover in order to get out of the base and take his first major step towards returning to the human territory.

He pulled his weapons from the inventory and stowed them on his body before taking off towards the exit with a run.

He almost immediately ran into trouble, as a group of ten Shenia rounded the corner behind the church like building just as he was getting there. Knowing that danger could lurk around any corner, Gus was prepared for something like this to happen. The Shenia themselves, however, were caught off guard, with their weapons still stowed on their backs and still hanging from their hips.
