Chapter 106 - Returning to fairy tail.

The sound of screams could be heard across the decimated village where the sky has turned black and burning houses in the field of snow. It was a catastrophic tragedy where people weep for their loved ones while others were trembling in fear waiting for the inevitable. The whole place had been destroyed by a massive, dark blue, humanoid Demon. He has a large torso and two large arms that end in scaly hands. 

On the left and right part of his torso as well as around his neck, it was covered with a series of spikes. In addition, he has two large legs, whereas the feet resemble the ones of a bird, with additional spikes on the back. His hair is mane-like in shape and it flows down to the nape of his neck. He has a pair of horns that point upwards, jutting from a plate on his forehead. He also has large pointed teeth as well as two hollow eyes. 

Not only did it have an imposing size but its magical energy was enormous and vast that it made those around him feel weight crushing down their body. It opened its mouth channeling a ball of energy before a beam of light cut through the ground and into the mountains creating a massive explosion in the process. In that moment, the blast of explosion was moved and summoned by someone floating in the sky riding an enormous beast. 

The beast growled at the demon prepared to tear them to shreds as the person it's back gathered the energy into the palm of his hands making Deliora look at him while the person just condensed everything a ball then disinterested it into nothing. 

"There's a lot more survivors than I thought. Guess my luck is working amazingly. Now then."

Deliora saw him opened his mouth gathering yet another attack while Caelum just smiled at it taking a stances slowly letting himself let loose remove any restrain in his thought and body where his magical and ki vanished for moment while at the very moment Caelum felt the flow of the universe riding through the current taking inspiration at what Garou did to create his Absolute unarmed martial art. There was no strength nor magic, only the technique that reached a level where a normal person should be able to venture. 

In a moment of inner peace and tranquility the attack of Deliora headed towards him but he just moved twisting his hand channeling the energy then condensed it in his arm before sending back the blast. Deliora couldn't even evade making roars in pain while Caelum felt sluggish from the outcome.

'That was rather tiring…'

Caelum accomplished something that shouldn't be possible at his level but because of his luck managed to grasp it. He didn't try again since it takes a lot and focuses on just ending Deliora. He saw the monster leap launching toward Caelum who just held out his hand and said.

'Oblivion.'

In that moment, Deliora halted and began to vanish into nothingness, erasing him completely. Caelum just wanted to test his technique and he already got his answers. He hadn't gotten the chance since he's been busy with Ur earlier. He turned his attention to the village and cast a powerful restoration spell returning everything back to normal while the people were confused at what happened only to turn to the sky when someone noticed Caelum who slowly vanished from the place heading back to Ur side. 

He returned to find the children with Ur who was now dressed lightly growling since he wanted to see her naked. They spotted him and quickly asked what happened with Caelum telling them that he got rid of Deliora. Gray felt both disappointed and relieved that the monster that took his family and friends was finally destroyed. He didn't doubt Caelum since in his eyes, he was incredibly strong and hardly showed his strength, having taught them that strength is not something to flaunt. There is no such thing as the strongest, only stronger. 

Though, such a concept is fundamental only for mortal understanding since Caelum is unsure if there is actually the strongest being across the Omniverse. In the grand scheme of things then there is only stronger at the moment. Gray cried his heart out being comforted by Ur and the others having the same pain with Ultear having been taken away from his mother. 

"Were there any survivors from the attack?"

Ur asked wanting to at least know if Caelum managed to find people who survived the attack. 

"Yes, thankfully Deliora hadn't been there for long. I managed to save a couple of them before I returned with the behemoth."

He assured her hearing Ur sigh in relief while looking at her student who seemed to have passed out from crying and was tucked away by Ur into his bed while Caelum remained with the kids. 

"Did you really kill Deliora master!?" 

"In a way, yes, I have. Why?"

"Then does that mean you're the strongest mage around!?"

Lyon showed his admiration in a twisted way since he seemed to think Caelum was undefeatable and unkillables that resulted in receiving a chop in the head. Lyon cried out in pain asking why he hit him. 

"You might be thinking that I am undefeatable. Then no, I am not Invincible which is why I keep training to get stronger. The world is vast and there are many things to explore. You'll eventually find yourself becoming a frog in a well that doesn't know the great ocean. You might be best in this region but compare the whole continent then you just speck."

Caelum understood this quite well having seen the ocean and its endless power in the shape of Sapphire and her father the Omni-Emperor. Lyon seemed to vaguely understand his explanation but still refused to believe him. He sighed inwardly for his naive thoughts and let it be for now.

After some time, Caelum continued training in the cold region until it was time for him to head back and report about Deliora. He asked the children if they would follow him to his guild which they all excitedly agreed. They departed soon enough, arriving back in the town of Magnolia where Caelum saw someone running towards him and caught a short white haired child rubbing her face against his.

Ultear seemed to pout in jealousy that was witnessed by her mother who giggled teasing her about and immediately flared by her. The most irritating thing about it is that they both had the same hairstyle with minor differences.  

"Caelum!! You're back, we miss you so much! Big sis has been bothering Big sis Erza Nonstop about you! Where have you been and…who are they?"

Lissanna finally noticed the people behind her then felt a gaze when Ultear was staring at her and immediately smiled toward her. 

"Hi! I'm Lissanna, what's your name!?"

"...Ultear."

"Ultear? Odd name."

"That's very rude, Lissanna."

Caelum scolded a bit, making her apologize for speaking her thoughts far too loud. 

"It's not Odd, I got it from my mom. It means my mother is in tears." 

"Really!? That's so amazing."

Ultear started to grow accustomed to being with the new people since Lissanna just had the knack with making friends. 

"Where's your sister, anyway?"

"She's inside the guild. Mira is going to be so happy seeing you again!"

Caelum smiled since he was gone for a year because he was off training and didn't visit them since he wanted them to at least grow without him. They headed inside the guild where he found something interesting. He could see a young boy with a scales scarf and salmon hair. The aroma of a dragon was noticeable to him and a small smile grew from his face.

'Guess he managed to find this place.'

Soon after, Mirajane saw him arrive followed by Sorana, Yukino, Milianna and Kagura who immediately went to gather around him asking where he had been and was heavily scolded by them which he just laugh it off while Ur couldn't help by giggle amused to him surrounded by children. Makarov walked up to him asking to know the people he brought and told him that they were going to be new members in which he happily welcomed them to their guild. 

He reported the recent events that happened making him sigh in relief that a disaster finally was eliminated. Makarov is curious why haven't his Godfather who was powerful to just remove every threat to the people but knew their reason behind it. Ur got her mark along with her two disciples and daughter. Everyone quickly became festive having gained new guild members roaring in delight getting poured by alcohol. 

Caelum laughed as he chugged some alcohol telling stories to the children then raised his fingers as a bolt of lightning came heading his way to find Laxus who shouted at him to fight since he believed that he had grown stronger and able to finally defeat him. He laughed it off and gestured for him to come still drinking his alcohol and taking a bite at the large meat.

Laxus leaped from above the balcony moving at lightning speed as Caelum vanished from his seat and began to clash with him. Lyon and Gray jaw drop along with Natsu's who see the two fights vanishing and appearing in a blink of an eye creating lighting as they go. Ur asked if this is normal in which Makarov just laughed and said yes. It was what fairy tail is and what they represent.  

Caelum smirked, noticed how much Laxus had grown to block his attack and noticed that his body had changed, something shocking him a bit.

"Surprised!? I managed to learn how to turn my whole body into lightning!"

He was surprised not because he grew stronger but why his magic changed to this degree. Caelum was certain that he didn't have this kind of magic before but recalled how Juvia was able to turn her body into water that makes any attack pass through her. It was an ability that had been long forgotten and can see that somehow Laxus able to do it. 

Though it hardly a problem as Caelum smirked and change his approach wanted to return to his roots summoning his blade Tempest making everyone eyes went wide where the magical energy began to churn as the blade transformed surprising Laxus. He just wanted to have fun at this point and tested his long forgotten [ Tempest blade ].

"Take this as reward to surprising me. [ Silver Aura ] released. "

He said releasing a wave of magical power seeming freezing the surlrund even though the feeling of coldness was not presence confusing Ur and the other ice mages. Laxus seem to be shaken by its presence since [ Silver Aura ] was best used against dragon or anything related to dragons. 

The two took their battle outside then created a barrier as everyone check out their battle. Laxus molded some of his lightning having learn molding magic then launch it towards Caelum who just created his own shard then shot towards his own attack turning those molded lighting into ice surprising Laxus. 

'How did he turn my magic into ice!'

Laxus never seen him use magic which is why this has been an experience but now he was scared since his magic was frozen then shattered into million pieces. 

"You've kid but you're a hundred thousand years too early."

Caelum said vanishing from his spot then touch Laxus who couldn't do anything as his body suddenly felt stiff then was struck by him since even intangibility was useless against his power. He released the barrier and held out his hand catching the cup of alcohol and meat without wasting anything because of his luck. 

'Why di I sense time skipped moment?'
