Chapter 72 - Cannibal

Caelum gained an unfathomable sensation that made him feel omniscient, witnessing everything all at once with his newly acquired Spiritual Sense. The sight it provided was a lot different than Mana sense and Ki sense or even the [ Divine Heavenly Vision ]. Rather than using the surrounding energy to map out a clear image like bats do, a Spiritual Sense gave him clairvoyance to peer through anything within a limited radius. 

He could see through the different energy and began to grasp its secrets. Caelum found that he is able to use the Spiritual sense to manipulate the energy externally and guide it through similar to how he uses [ Flame Mastery Scripture ]. It made him feel nearly untouchable with the clairvoyance it gave him. 

Without a moment to waste, He began to consolidate the energy to help him adjust at the new base he attained. It would help strengthen his foundation rather than advancing without proper training. There were many gaps and imperfections that Caelum found despite having euphoria upon reaching the [ Spirit Sea ]. 

Often one would feel an immense pride in their achievement that they become blind and eventually corrupt their mind. Caelum could feel it yet thankfully he had a solid grasp of his mind that it quickly dissipated the moment his body adjusted to the newfound power. 

His flesh and blood hardly grew yet the aspect of comprehension in subtle details had immensely improved. The Sea of Consciousness seems to grow and expand that solidify his memories and techniques. Caelum found it perfect once he gained the Soul Warming Lotus would definitely help strengthen his soul. 

Though, in order to do so needed to create a nascent soul to gain a primal infant which is manifestation of his soul. A strong soul could even manipulate the laws of the world by mere thought. 

The changes of his strength had turned his [ Godly Grimoire ] to expand even further than before feeling the [ World ] energy began to solidify itself. Caelum is merely able to borrow the energy to recreate a phenomenon called World Forces. 

Caelum understanding in the path of cultivation grew significantly gaining the insight of higher ranks. He put it aside organizing the enlightenment given by his breakthrough and summoned his Guardian beast namely [ Twin Goddess Sword ] of Mio and Mia.

"Master, is there anything we need of us?"

"Are we here to kill her?"

Selene perplexed when two beautiful young women that were more divine than she appeared out of nowhere and stared at her with dark intent to kill her. However it was quickly dissipated when Caelum lightly tapped her yet the aftershock echoed through the place.  

"No, I summoned you two and used the surrounding spiritual energy to strengthen you two."

"Why master? Our power is already at the peak of this world and this measly Spiritual Energy is barely causing any improvement."

"I have to agree with Mio, Master. Would it be better for you to refine it yourself than us?"

"You two are basically my spirit and would act as a way to strengthen my soul. I haven't gained a Primal Infant to manifest my Divine Soil therefore you two will act as one for me. Though, it will be a lot smaller than having one but still."

"We understand, master. It will be done."

The two changed into their true form and began to churn the energy of the Elentear that seemed to distort and expand even further than before. Caelum smiled before turning his attention to Selene who was speechless from the whole ordeal. 

"Who or rather what were those women?"

"They are my lover and weapon. It could say they are the manifestation of my soul but just part of it."

Caelum still has some missing parts regarding the path of cultivation. However, what he knows would be enough to reach new heights in the near future and grow ever closer to his end goal. Selene did not say anymore, merely watched the two begin to absorb and refine the Spiria within the Elentear. 

He could feel that his Sea of Consciousness was growing and his soul in some ways affected by their growth even though it was meager. As they were busy doing their task, Caeluma and Selene began to discuss their plan to find the other dragon gods. 

"You have a lot of questions, I'll answer a few of them if you answer mine."

"Very well, tell me what kind of method have you done to absorb nearly half of the overflowing energy of Elentear?"

Selene believed that those who had tried what Caelum did would instantly die from the boundless energy of the Elentear. It would have been more believable if Caelum took at least a millenia to absorb half of it without dying yet he did within a span of a few minutes. 

He defied any logic even gods have their limits and seeing him done that made her question everything. Caelum nodded and understood what she was trying to say. His reserve of Spiritual energy was so empty that once his absorption began instantly went to his mind and unlocked his [ Sea of Consciousness ] rather than his abdomen. 

"My existence is special, it allows me to consume and refine any energy into my being without much precautions."

Selene was unsatisfied by his answer knowing full well that he was avoiding to tell the whole truth. Then again, she has no way of confirming if his words were trustworthy and could only take it with a grain of salt. 

Caelum had the [ Magicule Breeder Reactor ] that gave him an infinite amount of magical energy. Though, it is still dependent on the type of magical energy. Aether for example is a lot denser than normal magical energy like Ethernano and Mana. 

He may be able to never run out of magical energy but does not mean he is able to draw out everything. To compare himself to a cup and faucet where one is not connected to the source of the energy and could only draw out so much at limited time while the other could nearly indefinitely draw out as much as it could without running out with the only limit being how much it could draw out. 

Regardless, Caelum energy is endless when it comes to magical energy and could continuously cast an infinite amount of attack. 

"It's my turn, tell me who is the closest Dragon God?"

"That would be Viernes, someone who rarely shows himself and remains slumbering till now."

"Till now?"

"Fufufu I believe it's my turn to ask you."

She giggled teasing him a bit while Caelum pretended to pout. Though, He already knows about the recent happenings regarding the Gold Dragon God. His only asking question was to entertain himself and Selene who caught his interest. 

"I am eager to know what kind of world for someone like to exist."

"My world, huh? To tell the truth I don't know how to answer your question. I am merely a world traveler trying to grow stronger from each world I visited and perhaps gain a beautiful woman such yourself in the process."

"Fufufu I don't mind the idea. Being your woman might be more interesting than wasting my time slumbering in this world."

Caelum merely smirked at her remark and saw Selene gave an alluring smile. For dragons, they are simple minded and never had the same views as a human. Few minutes later, they continued to share things about themselves while the Mio and Mia were able to refine enough that it would take 500 years to reach the amount it had before Caelum arrived. 

"Master, we're finished refining the Spiritual energy of this world."

"Is there anything you need of us?"

"Actually, it's been a while since we had our little adventure? Why don't you remain in your human form while we head to find the other dragon god."

"Really master!?"(Mio)

"Mio, you are eager. However, I must say that are you sure master?"

"Of course, I am rarely able to use you two and always trapped in the [ Godly Grimoire ]."

The two were delighted to hear that they would be able to spend time with their master while selene observed the two wanting to know more how a weapon can turn into humans. Though, in the canon story Irene was able to enchant weapons, placing personality into weapons and turning them into living weapons. 

However, the [ Twin Goddess Sword ] could be considered Caelum soul manifestation brought by the [ Grimoire ]. Though it was not his primal infant that was a soul manifestation of his own personality and being.

"Anyway, we're done here, let's head to where Viernes is."

Caelum called them out before distorting the space that shocked Selene at how precise and without any delay his spatial magic was cast. The Spiritual Sense had given him more understanding and precision to use his energy than ever before. They returned to Earthland where the energy was noticeably different than before.

It was more visible and alive than before and Caelum could just manipulate it without much effort. 

"Wouldn't it be faster if we teleported ourselves directly to our destination?"

"It would spoil the experience of travelling. We never know what we will encounter if we rush to our destination."

"....very well, have it your way."

Selene couldn't understand the point of wasting time traveling than going ahead and arriving at where they wanted to go. Caelum could only shake his head before looking at the horizon and began their journey.

Few days of travelling, Caelum had been continuously training his Sea of Consciousness trying to transition his [ Archive Palace ]. The benefit of Sea of Consciousness is that once it reaches a high level of mastery it would allow the person to never degrade their technique and skill as if it was second nature to them.  

He was currently spreading his senses until there were humans being attacked by a rogue dragon. Caelum was far too busy to deal with it and transmit his words to Mio and Mia to bring the corpse. It would be their lunch for that day. 

The two appeared before flying straight to where the dragon was leaving Selene to look at the direction and nodded. She hardly felt anything even for her own race since they normally fight each other. 

At that time, Mio and Mia arrive at the scene where the dragon, who had the appearance of Serpentine with wings and no legs, has blood-red eyes and sharp blade-like spikes covering every inch of its snakelike body from behind the head to the tip of the tail. It suddenly causes the blade to slice through the humans who instantly died by being cleaved in half.

Rooooaar!!

The dragon gave a screening scream that it kept rampaging through the village. 

"Should we kill it as quickly as possible?"

"I have to agree, it would be best if we kill it."

As they were having a casual chat was when the dragon spotted them and used its magic to send a slicing magical attack, however it was instantly dispel that shocked the dragon and was angered by it. The dragon roared and flew towards them while the human saw the two women hovering in the air like a pair of goddesses. This causes them to start praying. 

Mio used her power to absorb its strength while Mia sent a wave of attack by flicking his hand like a blade that sliced the dragon to pieces. The dragon died instantly without knowing how it died before it's body was collected by the two and brought to Caelum who finished cultivating his Sea of Consciousness.

"Great work you two! Now we can start preparing for lunch now! I hope you don't mind eating other dragon Selene."

"I don't, we dragons eat weaker dragons and that's how it is. I believe you've eating one of your kind, correct?"

"Hmmm, not sure using magic to eat them counts."

Caelum was not a cannibal who would consume his fellow human for indulgence but didn't feel any disgust since he could consume anything without a problem. 

"That aside, let's cook!"
