Chapter 05 Stain my hands
"I'm elder Anki, and I am going to escort you all down to the Moon Night Forest for the annual competition," elder Anki said as he looked at the students on the assembly ground from the air.
"Let move out," he said.
As soon as he finished speaking, the students started going down the mountain.
Before long, they arrived at the entrance of the renowned forest and could see cultivators steadily entering inside the forest.
"I thought the elders said that the Moon Night Forest is dangerous, then why are cultivators entering steadily?" A student asked as he looked at the seniors on the air.

He continued, " killing a student of the academy can give a lot of wealth, but meeting a genius level student can also cause your death, that is humans die for treasures."
"Competing against each other," mumbled a student, "senior brother, can you please explain what you mean by students of the academy competing against demons of Moon Night Forest?"

Hearing what the senior brother said, the atmosphere suddenly turned freezing cold as the students tried understanding the senior's words.
Suddenly, there was clamoring amongst the students as they were not informed before hand.
"Silent! Did your classroom teacher not tell you that some of you won't be coming back alive, so you should stay back at the academy if you know your strength is not enough to take on the risk,"
"Hmph! do you think the academy will waste resources on spineless students who only stay up in the mountain everyday and grow in cultivation but not in their battle techniques? Do not joke with me, now get inside their and either kill the demons and get their cores or get killed and get your badge taken." Elder Anki sternly said to the students.
"Distribute the badges." he said as he looked straight at the forest, as if locking gaze with someone in the forest.
After a few minutes, a total of 60 badges were distributed.
Elder Anki looked at the students and said, " If 20 of you can make it out alive, it will be a cause of celebration for the academy.
"Go now, and comeback with a lot of demon cores," the senior brother who explained said as he smiled at the students before looking away.
The students started moving towards the forest with a lot more caution, but some student who have confident in their ability moved with speed to kill more demons and harvest their cores.
Among that group of students was Lu Jin who moved through the forest as agile as he moves on a free road.
"Looks like Lu Jin is already a rank 9 body tempering realm cultivator, and by the way he controls his movement, he might have been in that realm for about three weeks," Wu Lan said to himself while running through the forest at a speed faster than everyone.
"Even though Uncle gave me the blood and bone strengthening pill, I was only able to step into the 9th rank of body tempering realm two(2) days ago and still can't control my strength,"

Few seconds later, the entrance of the forest was now empty, except for the seniors up in the sky and elder Anki.
"Who does elder Anki think will be the first in this round?" a senior asked staring at the back of the students.
"Bu Nan!" Elder Anki said as he kept staring straight in the forest.
"Can elder elaborate more on why he chose Bu Nan over Wu Lan, as the latter has more combat strength than the former?" another senior asked the elder, seeking to want to know why the elder will choose Bu Nan as the winner, when the competition has just began.
"There are five peak rank 9 body tempering realm cultivators with Bu Nan and each of them will breakthrough in the forest, although it will take a day or two, due to the using of pills to hasten the breakthrough." Elder Anki said and then continued.
"Then each of the five xiantian realm cultivator will hunt the demon cores for Bu Nan and give all of them to him, that is why I said Bu Nan will win this round."
Giggling, a senior sister said, "Looks like Bu Nan have first round, well, if the level between their cores is large, then the points he will own won't be something the second round can ever make up for."

In the forest, Lu Jin was sitting on a tree and looking at a wolf pack, which consist of two rank 8 demon soldiers and four rank 7 demon soldiers.

Looking at the pack of wolves, Lu Jin attacked.

A rank 7 demon soldier head was separated from it body, before the wolves could recover, a silver light was seen and then another rank 7 demon soldier was killed in the same manner.
"Howl!!" The Alpha of the pack howled and charged toward Lu Jin with his claw.
Clang!
The charge of the wolf stopped as he stared at Lu Jin, but Lu Jin was not looking good.
"Its claws are way too strong and it's blood red, completely different to the rest that are black in color," Lu Jin said as his arm felt slightly numb, shaking his hand to regain control, he was about to swing his sword when a wolf pounce on him.
Using the 4th technique of the 9 basics of the sword, which is a movement technique called sword dash, he moved out of the trajectory of the attack.
Boom!
A crater was formed where Lu Jin was standing a moment ago.
"So close," Lu Jin said as he kept dodging the attacks of the wolves around him.
Growl!
A rank 7 demon soldier went in for the kill when a silver sword light flashed, and he followed the footsteps of his pack members and got his neck separated from his body.
Having gotten use to the battle pattern of the wolves, Lu Jin was able to move gracefully through the pack of wolves.
Each swing of his sword separated the neck of a wolf from it body, looking like a grim reaper as he reap the lives of the wolves around him.
After a few minutes, the only wolf left standing was the alpha of the pack, with sword wounds over his body looking haggard and trembling.
"Growl... growl," the alpha wolf kept looking at Lu Jin, as he got ready to pounce on the destroyer of its pack.
"I will give you the honour to die by the 9th move of my sword technique. It called silk line. This move have the highest penetrating power among all the other 6 attacking moves." Lu Jin said as he moved he right leg back and his left leg front, bending his back a little, as he gathered the strength of his body to the right hand that holds the sword.
Immediately, Lu Jin gave off the aura of a sword.
"Get ready," he said, immediately he moved.
Purshhh!!
The alpha wolf was till standing when Lu Jin landed, facing the wolf, with his sword in the brow of the alpha wolf.
Withdrawing his sword, blood started flowing out from the brow of the wolf.
Bam!
The alpha wolf dropped dead on the ground.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Lu Jin was about to take out the cores of the wolves when a voice came.
"Little brother, why don't you leave the big wolf for big brother here to help carry it," Ghu benji said as he moves closer to Lu Jin.
"Stand back," Lu Jin said as he moves backward. Seeing as Lu Jin moves back, Ghu benji said, "little brother, if you don't give big brother that wolf now, big brother will help the Chang Academy to discipline you."
Hearing what Ghu benji said, the look in Lu Jin's face changed.
"Discipline me for my academy!? What gave you the right to do that? Is it your rank 9 body tempering realm cultivation and those bunch of rank 7 and rank 8 body tempering realm cultivators?" Lu Jin said as he took a step forward.
After he finished speaking, he attacked, using the 7th moves of the 9 basics of the sword technique named 'dance with the wind.'
Feeling the wind increasing, Ghu benji was about to use a defensive technique when he suddenly stopped and stood at his spot without moving, while Lu Jin was seen standing at his back with blood dripping down his sword.
Seeing Ghu benji standing without moving, Lu Jin pushed Ghu benji and...thud!!
Ghu benji's body slammed on the ground with his head separating from his body.
Looking at the rest of Ghu benji's gang, Lu Jin said, "guess I have to stain my hands with your bloods."
