Acceptance.

It's been a while since I started walking my feet to go home to Ms. Alena'a house. I remembered the happenings earlier to what led the cat to find me here and leave me again.

"But why me!? I told you, didn't I? I am not capable of doing whatever the things you need me to do! I just can't!" I continued to cry loudly. Perhaps the unshed tears I was holding back on my few stay I am here are finally getting out relentlessly.

"Tsk, I told you earlier that we needed you. What part of that didn't you understand, Rovina." the cat impatiently said as its eyes were portraying the burning reflection of its emotion.

I didn't answer; I am trying hard to find the reasons right now if I can do what it said. Pitiful. That's how I felt from hearing myself in this current situation. Who would have thought I depended on my life to get out of here on a mere cat, a talking cat instead.

"There are still many unbelievable things that you will discover outside this small forestry you are in Rovina. The environment that you are comfortably living in right now differs outside." I was staring at it. It was slowly getting closer in my direction. Step by step. Its little walking was making noise even though a cat claw doesn't have unnecessary noises when they are walking. This one is really different.

"I'll come back again and stay with you. There are still things I need to do. Till then, please be safe. You are more important than you think of yourself." it said as the cat slowly backed out and disappeared. The dark lights have eaten the real presence of it.

Releasing a loud sigh, I ran my fingers through my hair. I feel so sticky. I glanced over at my clothes; it's been really soaked from all of my cryings and wailing earlier. The old used brown fabric that my clothes have made out was loose as if I would pull it unintentionally, it would literally break. The mud that was already clinging to the hem of my dress was adding weight to it. I have not seen my current state yet in the mirror, but indeed I looked like a homeless person right now. It has been another unfortunate day for me. The chances of getting home right now to my parents are small. The fact that I need to help the creature who led me here and caused my miserable life it's preposterous.

"Mistress!" Kela called as it saw me nearing their house location. The girl was running in my direction excitedly with unshed tears in her eyes. After meeting me in a closer approximation, she jumped at me tightly, hugging me, and started bursting into tears. I looked at her mother, who ere just looking at the two of us—apologetically staring at me for its daughter's sudden action. I nod as a sign of approval, releasing a small smile.

"Hush, I'm safe, Kela. I'm here right now in front of you, healthily standing. Hmmm." I smiled at her reaction. It seems that I made them worried about my sudden action earlier. Patting its small back, the girl has been toning down its sobs.

"B-but mistress, I was worried about you! You let me go home first and faced the monster out here alone! I-If something happened to you, it will bug us for our whole life. How can I not be guilty of leaving you there!" Sobbing continuously, I let go of its proper to hug and looked at her face. Its fair complexion was covered by redness due to crying. The small nose and cheeks were also painted red too! This kid is gorgeous indeed. I bet when she grows up, she'll be breaking hearts everywhere.

"I'm here now, Kela. There was no monster earlier. I just left something in the river; that's why I decided to let you go first."

"See? I have no bruises or whatsoever. I just did get something important." I was assuring her that there was nothing to be guilty of.

Her small doe eyes were staring at me. She was examining me to see if I was telling that truth to all of the happenings earlier. Minutes passed, and from the corners of her face, it slowly stretched, releasing a big smile.

"Yehey! Let's eat now, mistress. I've been telling my mother how it's been scary out there in the dark!" Dragging me to the entrance of their house. Her mother was chuckling, realizing how bubbly her daughter was. She was following us silently as we entered the house first.

"Kela washed your hands." The mother commanded. The little girl immediately followed her mother's command. Letting go of our hands, she runs to the nearest old, supposed to be called sink beside a massive pot of water with a wooden dipper. I am not sure if it was to be called a sink at first; it was just an ordinary wood with a small hole to let the water flow from the back of this house.

Still, it survived and had been useable since the first time I had been able to witness it.

The house is the old generation version of a technology-based place we own. Honestly, at first, I was having a hard time adjusting to all of these things that I am not used to using. From what you all know, I came from a wealthy family, so doing work was not my forte. I only have my brain to function, but I couldn't study and acquire the skills of executing chores. My family pampered me.

On the other hand, in this house, many of them need physical activity just to get the work done. Unlike in our place, where it automatically just do the job with just the use of remote control or even better, it is all voice-generated furniture. From the last days I was here, I have been taught with Ms. Alena how some of her things work. Embarrassed, I was clueless about most of the matter here. I thank Ms. Alena for bearing with me and possessing long patience because I am definitely not used to some labor. I was impressed with how it is really different from the life of my origin. I can say now that I have acquired a little knowledge of how things are done. I can indeed survive now in regards to doing labor works.

I walked closer to the mother, who was busy preparing the foods we were about to eat—helping her with the chores and the preparations. I popped a question. "May I as something, Ms. Alena?"

She turned at me and nodded, giving me the chance to continue what I was going to ask.

"I heard from Kela earlier that you are working nonstop to acquire some money. I might look clueless, but I definitely do not. I realized I had been staying here for a while with nothing to offer. I feel bad if you have to work for everything on more extended hours, disregarding your daughter here because of me."

Done with the preparations, we have settled ourselves with their small dining table. Like everything else, it was made of all wooden materials, including the chair. As we were already sitting, I continued to speak what was really the purpose I am making this conversation to begin with.

"A-and uhmm. May I ask you for a favor? May you please help me find a job here?" The shock on her face made me nervous. I know for myself that I am not knowledgeable about working, but if I observed how and what the processes are, my mind would instantly move on its own, urging and helping my body to move on its own as if it is an expert in regards of working. I have been noticing these traits of mind since then, but I didn't use them in terms of me being in this situation— me working under someone. I was the mind of our company, and there was a lot of help who could do me favors instantly.

"I-I I'm sorry about that mistress. It just that I am worried about letting you work since I am aware of you're current situation—you are pretty lost at the moment. I can't let you work in that state. It might be hard for you to bear."

Her sincerity has got through me. These families who helped me from the first time we met possess a good heart. I smiled at her genuinely, for she deserved it. I assured her that I was now ready to work and help her with the finances. I can't just be a burden to them.

If you only knew that I am perfectly fine, Ms. Alena. My memories were not lost, and indeed, I am not lost. It is just that I am in an unfamiliar place who practiced a traditional way of living their lives. I might be clueless at first, but I can quickly adapt to my surroundings.

"I can handle myself now better, Ms. Alena. You don't have to worry about me, for I can take care of myself now."
