He abruptly looked up, his words tangled for the first time. "Miss Si, why would you trust me? We've only met once, not even for five minutes. What if I betray you?"
It was during those brief five minutes that Si Fuqing purchased a base.
"I could choose not to trust you," Si Fuqing said, her tone light as a breeze, "but I believe in your dreams. Your eyes told me you would never give up on them."
Something seemed to slam against his chest and heart, sending a numbing sensation through his limbs, his blood boiling with passion.
Jing Zhou took a deep breath. "Yes, Miss Si, you can believe in my dreams."
Yet Si Fuqing had helped him so much, and he had nothing to return.
"If you want to repay me, then win the OPL championship," Si Fuqing said, seeing through his thoughts. "I really need the money."
Jing Zhou was momentarily stunned, his gaze solidifying. "I will!"
