Leech II

"I don't believe that he told you anything." Louisa scoffed, then folded her arms. "I know who could have done it. It's that girl who stutters the most whenever she's around me."

"Brightfin?"

"So it wasn't her?" Louisa seemed puzzled by her own question. "It doesn't matter. Now you know, do whatever you want with that information. It wouldn't change anything."

Gretta got curious. "What wouldn't it change?"

"The tour."

"What?"

She wasn't going to let her off the hook till now?

"Yes," said Louisa. "I can allow you to get on with your business only after you've fulfilled all your obligations to me."

"I am not under any obligation to do anything for you."

"You would think so," said Louisa. "I like that you think so. It is left for me to prove it to you, if I am right about what I said or if I am wrong."

Greta was confused. Stunned, was a better way to put it. Her mouth suddenly went dry. Was that a threat or not a warning?
