As Ryuu was on his way to the gate, he couldn't stop thinking about his first mission. He was eager and excited to start.
Finally, I'm on my first mission. I'm too excited to go I wonder how I'm going to do during the mission; I hope I don't disappoint Minato and Jiraiya-sensei, wait do I have to call him Jiraiya-sensei? It sounds lame. I hope I don't have to.
As Ryuu was lost in thought, he reached the gate faster than he thought he would. He got to the gate of the hidden leaf village and found that Minato and Jiraiya were waiting for him.
"Ryuu? What took you so long, did you get scared or something?" Jiraiya jokingly said and Ryuu just glared at him. He felt a small chill and looked away as he scratched his head nervously.
"Me? Scared? Impossible, Father gave me a long lecture and some tips."
Jiraiya laughed out loud as he remembered going on his first mission.
"Receiving tips from the white fang of the leaf can be quite helpful. You're lucky you get to live with Sakumo-sama." Minato said.
"Anyway, let's go already. There's no need to stay here any longer, right?" Ryuu eagerly asked.
"You're right. We have to hurry because we don't know how far the spy has gotten."
Minato added.
Suddenly Jiraiya became serious and said.
"Before we leave, I want to warn you that this is your first mission, and it's a C-rank meaning and could quickly turn into a B-rank, at any point during this mission it could get interfered with by bandits or worse, especially in this time of war you never know what to expect.
And it is my responsibility as your sensei not to get you killed, especially on your first mission. Have you carried everything you need, including poison cures and such things?" I nodded and said,
"Of course I have them. I'm not an idiot you know, plus I knew what I was signing up for when I accepted this mission don't forget that just a year ago Kakashi and I were able to beat your Prodigy student." Minato frowned and looked at the floor in embarrassment.
"Jiraiya-sensei has some more faith in Ryuu. He may be a child, but I am Certain he could take care of himself.
I fought him and Kakashi not long ago and their power shocked me.
I'm sure he's grown far more in power and knowledge. After all, beating my record just a day into the academy isn't easy at all. It's damn near impossible, in fact."
Jiraiyas eyes widened as it shocked him to hear that his student had such high praise for Ryuu, but his shocked face turned into a smile because both his students trusted each other.
"Alright then, let's go." He said.
Just as they were about to leave, a familiar voice greeted them.
I looked back and saw a man with a long, blonde ponytail. The front part of his hair looked spiky, he had light green eyes, and a defined jawline.
He looked like he just came from a mission as well; he was covered in dirt and some blood.
He walked over to us and asked, "Oi minato, where are you and Jiraiya-sama taking that little kid?"
A tick appeared on Ryuu's head as he got pissed at him. He pointed at his face and yelled "HEY BLONDIE!, Who Are You Calling a Little Kid? I'm A Leaf Shinobi!!!"
I said as I pointed at my headband.
Ryuus' sudden burst of anger shocked the strange man and the others, but he was more shocked by what he said.
"A hidden leaf shinobi? At such a young age?" That perplexed him and looked at Minato for answers.
"That's right Ryuu here already replaced me at being the new genius anyway, id love to talk some more Inoichi but we're on our way out to an important mission."
He quickly said before we left.
"Hey, big brother, who was that guy?" I asked Minato.
"Oh, that was Inoichi Yamanaka. He's part of the new Ino-Shika-Cho formation. You've already met shikaku. now you only have to meet Choza." He responded.
Jiraiya and his two students spent days and nights searching for the spy in nearby towns while still keeping wary of any enemies, but we found none.
"We're nearing the borders and still we haven't found her. What should we do, Jiraiya-sensei?" Minato asked
Jiraiya thought about it for a minute and he said,
"Honestly, I don't know what to do. The only lead we've had so far is that she's somewhere in this village. Unfortunately, we've checked everywhere without finding her, but we can't give up. We have to keep searching."
Ryuu came out of nowhere and said.
"Jiraiya-sensei, I think I have an idea." He nodded.
"Well, the spy has a special jutsu which erases chakra, right? So that means they don't have to hide within crowds. They can leave without looking suspicious, but they also have to be careful because of us, meaning wouldn't it be easier for her to just move at night? So why don't we just go after her then, because for now, she could easily disguise herself in crowded areas. "
He placed his finger on his chin and said.
"I think I understand what you mean, Ryuu. I don't know why I didn't think about that. It's worth the shot, if you ask me."
Minato added.
"You're right Ryuu, we should set a trap for her during the night when she thinks everyone's asleep. Good job."
I just smiled and nodded.
Jiraiya and his students waited for the darkness to settle…
Darkness finally settled down and people were asleep.
"It's time to go," Ryuu said, and they both nodded.
They had a plan. "for this to work, the three of us need to cover all exits, luckily this is just a small town that makes it easier for us to cover the exits, Ryuu you go to the one we entered through, Minato takes left, ill take the right when one of us finds her signal the others.
They dispersed from where they were.
Just when Ryuu reached his post, he saw a hooded woman walking in a hurry. "Found you." She spotted him and tried to run towards the other exit.
"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!"
He shot a massive fireball immediately, and it grazed her shoulder, then her clothes caught fire. He dispelled the Jutsu, but what she didn't know was that it wasn't supposed to hit her; it was to alert Jiraiya and Minato.
"Stupid BRAT!" Some people came from behind and attacked Ryuu. Before he could react, they threw multiple shurikens at him. He was able to dodge and deflect them easily using his Sharingan.
"I'm guessing you're that woman's escort back to suna?" An old man came out of the shadows. He looked a bit younger than Sakumo and he carried a gourd of sand.
"And who are you?" He asked. "My name is Ryuu Uchiha and I'm the last face you'll ever see," I said as I drew my blades from my chest and activated my Sharingan.
His eyes widened, and he was shaking in fear as he looked at my swords.
"Impossible, those swords. There's no doubt those are his swords. That can only mean… you're his son, the son of the Crimson Claw."
"The Cr-imson Claw??"
He looked back at my eyes with a little confusion. "Konohas Crimson Claw, also known as Hanzo Uchiha."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"He was so fast even using no space-time ninjutsu before you even know it.
Everyone is dead and if your eyes are open all, you'll see is his Sharingan and next thing you know, your chest is wide open with three claw marks on them, the people always speak of the legendary sannins only because they fought the salamander but the ones who actually caused the most havoc were during the war were The White Wolf and its Crimson Claws.
That day, he killed my family and clan all by himself, they died protecting the Kazekage but he let me live, and to find out that he was in a hurry only makes it worse, he should've just killed me, I wasn't able to sleep without having nightmares for months."
A tear rolled down his eyes as he looked down and clenched his fist so hard his fists were bleeding and said.
"But now fate has brought you to me. If I can't kill the Crimson Claw, I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE AND TAKE HIS FAMILY LIKE HE TOOK MINE!!"
He started doing hand signs. And Ryuu got ready to defend himself from whatever jutsu he was about to use.
"Ninja art Sand maze Jutsu!" The ground started shaking and soon the whole place was filled with a maze made of sand.
Ryuu tried jumping over and climbing it, but the walls kept getting taller.
"There's no doubt about it. This is a genjutsu, a powerful one as well."
"Now, I will show you what true power is."
He came from behind and attacked Ryuu.
Ryuu was able to dodge it just barely.
"So he can pop out of anywhere in this maze." He thought to himself.
"Show yourself, you coward!" Ryuu said, trying to rile him up.
He attacked Ryuu from in front, but did nothing.
That left Ryuu confused until he realized he got stabbed in the back. If it weren't for his healing factor, that could've been the end of this battle.
He pulled out the sword.
"I have to get out of here as soon as possible."
"Multi Shadow clone Jutsu!" Ryuu made 30 clones and spread them in each corner. He could feel the genjutsu placed on him getting weaker.
TCH "You Brat, it's time I finish you." He clicked and said.
But little did he know he was just confirming Ryuus' suspicion.
Ryuu created more clones and did a hand sign.
"Fire style: majestic destroyer flame!" Large amounts of fire spouted from Ryuu's mouth. "No one can escape this Jutsu." From the outside, Ryuu could be seen standing in the middle of flames. He looked like a demon from hell.
It hit the shinobi and his comrades. He tried to block and defend himself, but it was all futile. Normally, when this Jutsu hits someone, they turn to Ash immediately. But by him trying to defend himself, he only inflicted pain upon himself.
"You idiot, you only harmed yourself by creating a wall. It was all too futile. You should've just burned, but now you'll die alone, in pain and forgotten, but I can offer you a treatment to your pain."
Ryuu took his blades and pointed them at his head.
"I offer you mercy by dying with this blade, the blade that also slaughtered your family and clan, but of course, this is your choice. Consider this a gift brought to you by "Fate."
He was struggling to breathe because of all the damage done by my Jutsu. I could hear him say something.
"Huh, what are you saying?" Ryuu moved in closer to hear him.
"Rot in hell with your family of demons."
Ryuu frowned.
"On second thought die in pain, its fitting for a waste of breath like you."
"Let me show you what true pain is!" He pulled Ryuu and put him in a genjutsu before he could react.
I was in someone's room, I could hear screams of women and men right before they were cut off, I looked out and saw piles of dead body's, the fountain that was filled with water, turned into a red thick liquid, it was filled with blood; I blinked for second and more bodies piled up; he heard more screams but this time they were louder and closer. From downstairs, he ran to check what was going on.
SPLASH a splash of blood splattered all over his face. I couldn't even react to it. He. He looked at who it was and saw a familiar face. He saw the Sharingan with a weird pattern on it and he knew who it was.
"Dad," He said.
He walked to him with killing intent.
"Wait no don't do it!! It's me!! Stop." He tried to beg for mercy, but nothing stopped him. He kept walking and Ryuu fell backward as he tripped on a body.
Hanzo lifted his sword and aimed it at Ryuu. He swung it towards him. Ryuu closed his eyes and just before it hit him, the genjutsu dispelled.
When Ryuu woke up, he felt like the image of his father was disturbing and couldn't look at him the same. It was too much.
"If that's what war is, then I don't want it to continue." He said as a tear rolled down his cheek. He felt a burn In his eyes, and they started spinning around then finally separating into the final stage of the normal Sharingan, the third tomoe.
"Ryuu! Are you ok?" Minato interrupted Ryuu. He looked back and nodded. Then they left the piles of bodies and headed back to Jiraiya. They didn't waste any time and started heading back to the village.
