Tang Yuxin pulled her coat tighter around herself. She initially wanted to return it to Gu Ning but in the end decided not to say anything.
"Yuxin," Li Jia ran over and hugged Tang Yuxin, bursting into tears. She had held it in for the past few days and now that they could finally go home, it was about time she too allowed herself to cry.
"Look, we can go home now, we really can go home," she said, her voice choked with emotion. The fear they had lived in these past days, the fear of the injured getting worse, her own fear of dying, even the inability to sleep well, no one who hasn't experienced it would ever understand.

But now, finally, they could go home; they didn't have to die.
