Chapter 3 – The Most Glorious Moment
The footsteps sounded hurried, akin to someone walking with urgency.
Jhin felt alarmed. What if it was a monster? With his current condition, he was sure that he wouldn't be able to escape. "What should I do?" Jhin asked himself. Unless he finished designing the contract, it was impossible for him to defeat someone.
When the footsteps were just a few meters away from him, it suddenly halted. Then a loud and excited voice sounded from its direction. "Eh? Alv? Woah! You're finally awake!"
Jhin shook before sighing in relief. He opened his eyes and looked at the direction of the voice. A few meters away from him stood a tall and enchanting figure. A woman with sharp ears and jade-like skin. She wore a loose and revealing dress, outlining her bountiful bottom and chest.
"It's really you Alv!" the elven woman exclaimed. And before Jhin could react, she turned into a blur and then… a pair of smooth and supple lips was felt from his mouth.
"Eh? She… She's kissing me?" Jhin thought in shock. He stared at her with eyes wide opened. He could see her long and thick eyelashes with some strings of her green hair sticking close to his cheeks.
Jhin shivered in ecstasy under her assault. Then a certain praise flashed in his mind. "Wherever you are, be there! Enjoy the moment."
Closing his eyes, Jhin responded to her passionate kiss. And then… (hehehe)
After whom knew how long, those pair of godly lips finally separated from his. Taking deep breath, Jhin inhaled her fragrance and stared at her satisfied face.
The more he stared at her, the more Jhin realized that he was so familiar. Her green hair, her jade-like face, smooth and slender skin, and those pair of elven ears. "Eh? Isn't she the woman on the fourth painting?"
Jhin recalled the scene where a huge magic circle appeared on the battlefield with the caster being a woman clad in light armors. "Didn't she also die?"
As he blankly stared at her, a boneless hand suddenly wrapped around his fingers. "That was fun Alv~ Let's leave the hall of the Epic of the Generals and meet the goddess!" She giggled as she wipes the saliva from the corner of her lips.
Without waiting for his reply, she pulled Jhin towards the direction where she just came from.
"Er… Don't be offended, but it seems that I lost my memories." Jhin said after a moment of thought. He wanted to ask her dozens of questions.
Hearing his words, the elven woman stiffened for a while before turning around. "I guess that couldn't be helped, you've been sleeping for countless millennia already."
"Is that so? I wonder what exactly happened to me." Jhin asked.
He was hoping that perhaps she could give him some ideas about his current situation. It would be advantageous to him if he knew how to react later.
Instead of a reply, the woman moved closer to him and hugged him. Her fragrant hair landed on Jhin's neck while her pair of soft mountains were pressed on his chest. She whispered to his ears, "You have offended a God, that's why you were beaten back then. Thankfully, the Goddess saved you and hid you in her shrine. However, the moment you exited here, you will be detected by the God you've offended."
"Oh…" Jhin was speechless. He hadn't expected that the owner of this body had some rich history. Based on what he knew from the paintings, Gods are powerful creatures who could erect a shrine at will. If his conjecture was right, then the Goddess she spoke of must also be the same.
"What's the Epic of Generals?" Jhin was curious. If he wasn't wrong, the lady in front of her was the woman in the fourth painting; the elven general who casted Reincarnation Doom.
"The Epic of Generals are the painted history of the glorious moments of each top-notch generals from every races." She replied. Her voice contained some pride within.
"How about you? Are you one of the generals? Or are you, my spouse?"
Hearing his words, the woman shook and Jhin felt her hug tightened. She murmured, "I'm Elaine, I… I'm your…"
"Anyways, let's go to the Goddess now!" she said. She couldn't speak what's inside her head.
Jhin only felt his vision blurred while wind whistled into his ears.
Elaine's reactions bewildered Jhin. He was unsure how he should treat her. Especially after sharing a passionate kiss together.
"Well, I guess I'll just let it as it is. I shouldn't dwell any further." Jhin thought. He realized that he should forget about the idea of opening his heart to others again. He has no plans of repeating what happened in the past.
"We're here!" Elaine said as she let go of Jhin from her embrace.
Turning around, Jhin saw a towering and ancient door filed with runic patterns and bestial engravings. Jhin felt enormous pressure coming from it. It was as though he was standing next to an elephant.
Elaine stepped forward and with her porcelain hands, she pushed the door opened. Thus, creating a soft rumbling sound.
"Woah!" Jhin exclaimed in surprise. What laid in front of them was a huge hall. Except from a large throne at the center, there was nothing else inside the hall.
With Elaine at the front, Jhin started walking inside. He looked up and realized that he could see the myriads of stars above. Peculiarly, there were three crescent moons hovering next to each other.
"What are those moons?" Jhin asked. To think that the world here has three moons.
"Those are the Moon Palace. The hegemony of the Moon race." Elaine replied. Then her gaze hardened. "Don't be disrespectful, we're going to meet the Goddess now, she's behind that throne."
Hearing her, Jhin shut up and decided to slowly follow her. "Er… Can I lean on you?" Jhin said. After walking for a short while, he felt that he was a little nauseous.
The psychological burden of entering the painting one by one and experiencing countless death and different mind-blowing events. Add to the fact that Elaine used her lightning-fast speed to travel, twisting and turning around the corridor, Jhin could now feel the side effects.
Elaine was about to nod when suddenly…
WHOOSH!
An enormous pulling force appeared behind the throne. Elaine's expression hardened as she braced her herself. However, unlike her, Jhin was directly blown into the air.
The moment his feet took off from the ground, Jhin started tumbling and circling in the air. Heading towards the direction of the throne.
With an unsightly expression, Jhin tried balancing his body to no avail.
The speed of the pull was very fast, Elaine couldn't react, he tried following Jhin but… she was too late. The moment she arrived behind the throne; all she saw was Jhin standing next to a woman clad in pristine white robe.
However, the woman's white robe… was tainted by a yellowish slimy juice. Elaine shifted her gaze and stared at the dumbfounded preparator, Jhin.
"This…" Elaine was speechless. She has a bad premonition. "Did he vomit at the Goddess?"
